Chapter 104

Noah POV

He begins to return with another mug in his hand, but this time it isn’t a tea but a dark liquid that seems to be bitter and awful from the appearance.

He sits on the bed again and reaches out the cup to me. "Here, drink it without hesitation.” He demands.

I don’t question him; I grab hold of the mug and attempt to pour it all down my throat, but the strong smells disrupt me. It’s smelling so strong that it makes my stomach twist.

"Go on; you need to rest.” He gives my shoulder a soft squeeze, and then I nod. I shut my eyes and pour it all into my mouth. As predicted from the surface, it’s extremely bitter.

But it seems more effective than the taste because my bones seem to be vibrating as soon as I empty the mug.

"You should sleep now.” He takes the mug from me as I lay my back on the bed while my head is on the pillow.

I fold my hands around my chest and shut my eyes. The drink makes my body feel heavy and dizzy; I couldn’t wrestle but to let the sleep take over.
