CHAPTER 27    

(RHEA'S POV - IN ATLAS' BODY)

In the dimly lit prison chamber, Kaida stood bound to a stake, her wrists and ankles ensnared by heavy iron chains that clinked with every slight shift.

“Hm…” she mumbled as her first sign of regaining consciousness.

Kaida lifted her head and fixed her gaze on Atlas. After a moment's silence, a chuckle escaped her lips, followed by a faint, weary laughter.

"Well, well. Little Pup, fancy meeting you here," she muttered with a hint of sarcasm, before lowering her head once more. Even in her defeat, Kaida couldn't resist a touch of biting humor.

At that time, Atlas who was inhabiting my body was already standing a few long steps before the gamma werewolf. His expression bore a mixture of concern and disappointment, reminiscent of the same pained disappointment he had worn when confronted with Lucien's and Kaida's betrayals.
