Chapter one hundred and eight

Lena stared at Maricela in disbelief as she flipped the script on her.

"Maricela, you never mentioned that to me before!"

"What did I say?" Maricela glared at Lena, her eyes piercing. "Lena, don't try to shift the blame for this harmful action onto me, affecting the company's interests."

"Yes, I may have had some misunderstandings about Kathy before, but those have all been cleared up now. I have no intention of doing anything that would jeopardize the company's interests."

As Lena observed Maricela's hostile expression, she suddenly felt a deep sense of disgust. Despite her moderate tenure at the company, Lena found the working environment at Hcorp to be quite pleasant. While office gossip was common, it typically remained superficial, with everyone moving on from it eventually.

Throughout the years, even though Lena had reservations about some of Maricela's approaches, she always assumed that Maricela was simply envious. She never imagined that Maricela could be so malicious.
