CHAPTER NINETY-FIVE

River and I walked back to our rooms. We were both relieved that the child wasn't River's child. I was even more relieved about the fact that Lisa would leave the pack house.

All along, I was worried that once I left, the two would be alone. River would have to care for Lisa because she was carrying his child, and it would make it easy for her to steal River before I returned.

The news was a little relief to me. River and I played together that night after our dinner. We slept together, hugging each other as we slept.

River didn't stop reminding me about how much he loved me. We soon fell asleep and woke up the next morning.

River wasn't in the room when I woke up, so I quickly freshened up and hurried downstairs. Lisa was already leaving.

Her parents already sent a few guards from her pack to come over and get her. She followed behind them slowly as they led the way to their car.
