Chapter 2: Event Day.

"All the preparation are been carried out methodically, the event will start in forty -five minutes and your father is waiting for you in your office, if we leave in fifteen minutes we will be at the venue in time Sir," my secretary Laura said walking fast to meet up in my pace, l bobbed my head in agreement, 

"And your brother requested to see you, Sir"

"Send him away! I replied undoubtedly calm resting my hands in my pocket while taking the next turn to the elevator, I'm sure he is just here to pick on me, he is a menace to the society l don't know why he wants to drag me down with him at all cost, today is the day l have been waiting and nothing can go wrong.

The elevator door beeped to close but got halted by Cain, my elder brother. He is already 27 years old, just a few years older than me yet he acts like this, because he is the first child. He deserves everything and all things should be effortlessly given to him.

" Hey there Father's favourite child." he strode in standing directly in my face "l bet this angel of yours here might have told you l came looking for you, he said playing with Laura's hair.

" What do you want Cain? I drawled uncannily, taking his hand off Laura.

"Since you are too proud to reply to my text messages and too busy to have a meeting with me, so l thought l should come to you anyways, 

" if you have what to say, say it right away l don't have all the time in the universe.

"Right, that's my baby brother, always eager to be the man of the day, but don't worry that won't last for too long."

I smirked bitterly as the Elevator beeped open, l took a step forward making Cain to move out of the way.

"You should hear the proposal first before you reject it immediately our next CEO." I paused on my feet sluggishly, how did he know it was me? Today is the day father set to announce his heir to his company and l also fixed this day to launch my product and make him exceptionally proud of me, even though l'm scared if he is going to hand it over to me, but l downright know that l have worked day and night, invested more time to make sure the company still belongs in the top class, even father himself has acknowledged it numerous times, I'm literally in control of all stocks, I'm more fit than to become the CEO, it's a dream come through.

"News travels fast,'' I said mockingly

" Tsk, don't flatter yourself, baby brother, the board members are already talking about it, it's not hidden news that father wants to hand over the company to you unless you were busy allowing different men to thump on you."

"You can take a break Laura, "l mumbled turning to Cain to have a proper conversation with him, he can't say that out loud, this is my weakest point, father can never know that I'm gay, he thinks it's disgusting and will never allow any of his sons to be one, he will never understand why two men have to be together, so l stick to the enormous amount of wealthy females, he tries to hook me up with, l don't complain because l have to be a straight son, l have to do everything to become the CEO of this corporation, It is my right.

" What do you want Cain? "I spit annoyingly, Are you stalking me now?

"Since everyone thinks that I'm senseless and jobless l won't live up to my name if l don't get enough evidence to prove to father that you are not innocent and responsible as he thinks highly of you, what do you think will be the reaction on his face if he knows he has a faggot for a favourite Son, his so called next heir, save him the trauma." He said getting invisible dust off my suit.

"I can sue you right now for stalking, harassment and substantial emotional distress, don't you dare bring something like this in front of me again!! I scowled walking out of him but his voice denounced in the air loudly, 

" Tell father you don't want to be the CEO and your secret is safe with me.

I chuckled waving at him as l continue on my steps, l don't have the time for his baseless threats, l have already wasted more time talking with him and have kept father waiting, hanging out with Lucas my boyfriend has always been in private, there is no way he will have evidence of us together, he is just letting out an irrelevant appellation, l don't sleep around or visit all the gay bar in San Benito, although my family and l own the city, we affect the economy and we matter, l have my ears and eyes around in this city and l won't allow my brother to throw empty shades at me, l can't be shaken, I'm about bringing a new era, I'm the new beginning.

I stopped for a few minutes to take a deep breath and fix myself nervously before pushing the door into my office, 

"I'm sorry for keeping you waiting Father, l said apologetically bending my body to the ground, 

" I didn't wait for long, don't worry son, have seen your sincere preparation for tonight, you have done well, come and have your seat."

"Thank you, father, l sat comfortably and nervously on the couch, gawking vaguely at my father for this urgent meeting. We have our ceremony to attend in a few minutes. 

" Jaylene? Father called out sternly, in a firm tone," You know my days are numbered and l want to retire before l die, l want to do more good for you and your brother and the people around me before l will not be able to do it again, the same thing goes to myself," he drawled worriedly puffing a thick smoke out of his nose, his health is bad yet he is still smoking.

"There is nothing wrong with your brother, l have tried many sources and possible ways to get rid of his bad habit of gambling and drugs sick, but l can't hand over my company to someone that will abuse my money, he might even use the company as collateral no one knows and he never listens to me, after a long talk with him have decided to send him outside the country for rehabilitation when he is back to his senses he will take over the underground black market, l will put it in his name while l signed all the property, my insurance, the company, the automobile industry, the movie hall and very importantly my private resort and forest house in your name, the both of you will equally own the mansion, this is my decisions.

I stood up immediately to help my father stand on his feet as he surge to, 

" I'm fine, my legs are not broken yet, he said tapping on my shoulder, "One last thing Son, The K & C Empire is our only rival in this field of business and you know it, l have always had an eye on buying a huge amount of shares in this company, Me and Mr Kevin had a dinner meeting yesterday, l want you to marry his daughter, Mila she is twenty - three years old, l have seen her son her fair skin is glittering, she is decent than the rest, you should meet her soon, probably hurry up things l will also love to see my grandchildren before l die, l can't expect one from your brother, you should do this soon enough, l needed to say this to your face like l announced to the board members earlier, Son you have made me so proud of you, keep this up, l will be happy to stave on the stage with you as my heir besides me," 

Father said chuckling joyfully as we both walk heading to the main entrance, how time flies fast when you are happy, I almost don't have words to express the excitement that has overwhelmed me, a dream come true, after this all these years it's finally worth it, father chose me and I'm finally in control of everything my life, immediately l marry the so-called Mila, l will do what as to be done and send her back to her father's house, l can't have a bitch in my space and l can never lay with one.

I'm confident things will work out for me, l want to see the surprise on my father's face when he sees the product that will last till the upcoming generation, l invested a lot and dedicated alot to this development, and l accept this responsibility effortlessly.

"Be careful on your steps father, l said unevenly, 

" Don't make me feel old Son," he said sarcastically patting my head, "Do Your Best" 

"Thank you very much father, l said respectively opening the car door and curtsying for him to go into the car, l shut the door accordingly going into the next car to heed to the new beginning of my life, today will determine my future, A new CEO A new era, the world will know more about me after tonight, l will be the most talk about in the city, the new best seller.

" We are ready to move out, Sir," Peterson, my driver, said, looking at me through the rear mirror for acknowledgement.

"Let's go, Peter" l murmured feverishly rubbing my hands together, it's suddenly so cold, l can do this, l have prepared vividly for this.

The red carpet welcomes our imperial presence beautifully, camera light flickers brightly in my eyes as l followed father behind, it's already crowded even though l made sure it will only be a certain set of people, the background melody music, the chime sound of chandeliers just like l had requested, the lighting and homely decoration is of classy and grand taste.

Shortly after we arrived at the occasion, it begins with a snap of the finger, after a long welcoming of guests, our Vips and dignitaries, the journey of the company all these years are been displayed on the screen, our growth, our values and worth, our partnership and sponsorships clapping happily at how far father has brought the company this far.

I looked at my father as he smiled and nodded his head proudly. He is going up next to say a congratulatory message and invite me to announce the product.

The cheering and clapping prevail in the harmony of good vibes, It was time for my father to go up to the podium, so l quickly went to help him go up while l stood beside him, he began with his speech a few seconds later the light went off, the crowd howl in awe, l paid a good amount of money to make sure this event goes smoothly, we can't be having technical issues just when my father is about to talk.

The screen popped back brightly, and my eyes dropped drastically at the content of the video displayed on the screen, my voice, my moaning, loud volumes of me telling Lucas to shove it back in my ass feverishly while kissing him generously, he dug his nails in my chest earning more cries and thumps from me, it's can't be!! This is not happening!!! This is a bad dream.
