        Chapter 6 

With a smirks plaster on his face, he got up and took a step closer to her with his long legs.

And she moves backward, and they continue until her back hits the wall.

He cages her with both his hands on the sides of the wall,

"It's you, I found you"

His cold voice reached her ears, and it made Sophia stared at him confusingly . Immediately, she stared straight into her eyes, her knees weakened.

His gaze rested on her face. She kept trying to mutter a few words, but none came out of her mouth.

Realizing what he was doing, he quickly let her go and take a few steps back but again he stared at her 

She bends her head, breathing out in relief with her head bow.

"Miss Sophia," Marco called, and she shivered; the way she called her name, always sent some unknown signs to her body; it made her wet unconsciously.

"Sir... Sir" she stammered

"Do you have anything to tell me?" he asked, and she raised her head, staring at him in panic; for the last ten years she had been working under Marco, today was the first time he had questioned her without work related, and she was surprised.

She knew Marco had a cold personality, he shout unnecessarily at all staff's and fired anyone who dared to stare into his eyes.

She bent her head quickly when she saw that she had been staring for a very long time.

"I asked you a question!" His impatient tone came again remembering Sofia from the pool of thoughts.

"There is nothing, sir," answered Sophia quickly, and this seemed to had offended Marco more; his expression could tell.

"I saw you on the roof yesterday." Immediately, these words came out of his mouth, her eyes snapped opened in shock.

" Am sorry sir"

"Apologize? Why ?"

She was apologizing because he had caught her ; she had just lied straight to his face.

Something did happen yesterday in the rooftop, that means, Marco had heard everything.

"Sir, I am sorry for lying, but sir, this is my case; you do not have to worry".

Hearing these words from her, he closed his eyes and opened them.

"You are getting married, not only marriage but an arranged marriage? How dare you! But you read the contract before you start working for me or do you want me to fire you instead? "

Her head fell down, she closed her eyes trying to catch the tears that were threatening to fall.

"Get out!" He ordered coldly and hurriedly, Sophia took to her heels twisting the door knob, she ran out of his office, with a hurried move, she left his building.

But as she left his building, she slowed down, the paper on her hand wrinkled because of the force she was putting on it.

Taking a few more steps, she stopped and put her back against the hallway wall.

She breathes several times, but she still can't stop tears from dropping from her eyes and just when she was about to break down, she heard footsteps on the hall and in a hurry she stood straight and wiped her eyes.

"Miss Sophia" she heard her name, she raised her head and the person who called her name turned out to be Mrs Erica, one of the company janitor, Mrs Erica was like a mother to her.

Sofia quickly sparked a smile and Erica gently took her hand with a concern look 

"Are you okay?" She asked and Sofia nodded..

"Mom and fine, just tired"

"Did the CEO scold you again?"

"No... Okay, I'm leaving now"

Sofia used the opportunity to walk away quickly knowing that if she remains there, Mrs. Erica could find out the truth that she was being forced to marry into a rich family.

She hasn't meant him before, but she knows that they are one of the top billionaire in the city, it wasn't her dream, but she had to do it in another to save her family.

All this happened when her father's company was about to go bankrupt, her father borrowed money from his business partner and promised to pay back when everything had settled unknown to them that the company that they were working hard to save was still going to be bankrupt.

Life is a game, she was like an object that was being gonna being bought with money, she lay her head on the table in her office, tears were streaming out of her eyes.

Meanwhile, Marco was working on his system in his office and also going through some files, he pursed suddenly and rested his back on the chair, his cold eyes staring at the space when the thought of Sophia's came to his mind.

Later, he took out his phone contacting an unknown number.

"Check everything about Sophia Baldwin, tell me why she is forced to get married and who she is marrying!"
