Frowning, Sophia's eyes returned to the documents and she read the words written boldly on the top.

'DIVORCE AGREEMENT'

She shook her head and chuckled, trying to convince herself that it was just a silly dream.Marco would never divorce her.

Sophia flipped through them. Then she pinched herself, the reality hitting hard, she wasn't dreaming."No, no. You must be joking. This is a joke, right?"

Sophia shook her head in disbelief."Do you think that I would never discover your real intentions someday? You purposely framed me that day right? If you want money, I will give it all to you. All you just need to do is to get out of my life," Marco thundered in his cold voice. "What are you talking about?" Fear gripped her heart as she perceived the fury in his voice. "You seem not to understand something woman, this marriage was just a contract marriage! And you were the cause of it.

with an attempt to slap Sophia but Marco held her hand."You useless child, you ruined my son’s life and almost ruined his company and you still have the mouth to speak? You bitch!" Aurora roared."I don't care about your explanation anymore, just as stated in the contract, the rumors are gone.Sign it. The marriage is merely a contract anyway,"

How can he say their marriage is a mere contract when she loves him with all her heart?She has been in love with him since the day she first set her eyes on him in college, wasn't he aware of it? She swallowed the lump in her throat, forcing herself to hold it together.

The tears that are threatening to drop."Stop acting innocent and sign the divorce papers, my son deserves a woman he could be proud of, not some conniving bitch like you" Aurora yelled. "No Marco, don't do this," she warned, hoping that he would see reasons why.The pain she is feeling is unbearable, all her strength is gone and her chest tightens.

Her breathing becomes ragged as it is getting harder to breathe."Sign it and get out of my life," Marco said, attempting to walk away when Sofia grabbed his hand."Marco, wait!"

He stood still, giving her a stare with his bloodshot eyes.She is not ready to end this marriage, not after bearing and enduring a lot to make it work.Sofia has endured harsh

 treatment and ridicule from his family and others while dreaming that he would one day reciprocate her feelings. She works tirelessly to make their marriage succeed despite it being a contract marriage."Marco, I won't sign. Her eyes are determined as she says those words.

Marco's expression darkened, he pulled his hand forcefully from her grip and she ended up losing her balance, she tripped and fell hard on the floor. Blood was oozing out of her head as the pain started coming in, she just hit her head on the table.

Sofia’s vision started getting blurreblacked out of blackout."Oh my goodness!" Ava screamed.Marco quickly rushed to her and carried her in his arms.

He dashed out of the house to the available car as he sped his way to the hospital.

He stood outside the ward pacing helplessly as the doctor and other medical personnel were working together to help stop Sofia from losing too much blood.Tapping his shoulder is his best friend, Lucas, Marco is released to see his best friend.“I heard what happened.

How is she doing?”"This is hard. I don't know, they are operating on her in the OR right now," Lucas sighs with a worried expression."But wait man. You didn't hit her, right?" ."My child! You're awake." Sophia's mom said but Sofia was staring confusedly at her.“Who are you?"

"I am very sorry to announce that she has amnesia," said the doctor who just witnessed the transaction between mother and daughter.
