“You better watch your words!” Miss Alice hissed and snarled at her. So she knew that she envied her and cared less! “About your denial, I am just following the CEO's commands and that is all .”

“CEO? How come I never saw that coming.” Paige murmured under her breath. They had little use of her now, and wanted by all means to dispose of her off, what kind of family was that?! Using her then trashing her away?!

         Paige was less worried about them but more anxious about the marketing information. She was going to sell off some ideas to Mr. Ray's company before she resigned but now, her office was locked, she had no access to it.

“After all these years of competing with you, I finally won. Paige, I suggest you become more submissive to me in the future. You are unemployed with a tarnished reputation. No company in their right mind would hire you to work for them .”

           Alice Ligne got up from her chair and walked around Paige. Paige laughed out loud like a psycho and threw her resignation letter on the ground.

“Even my dead spirit would never be submissive to you. Good luck, Alice Ligne, I QUIT!” Paige stormed out of her office with a cunning grin on her face.

       Phase one, Plan two was completed. She was now going to move next to phase three.

        Paige's past was more of a battlefield than any normal child's life. She was burnt to death and was transmigrated to last six years into her past to set her life straight and have revenge on her enemies.

        Paige entered her car and drove to the Adams' mansion. The guards rejected her proposal of entering the mansion and demanded she put a call through the master before letting her in.

“So now, I am a criminal in my own father's house, right?” She maintained a grin on her face and walked into the living room where her father was seated patiently on the sofa and scrolling through the newspaper.

        He was definitely waiting for her arrival and was shocked to death when she came in not with a begging attitude but a calm and scary one.

         He shivered in fear as her appearance put him into fear. He closed the newspaper and glared with hatred towards the young lady with a deafening aura.

“Where were you last night? How come you were not reachable? ” He lashed out on her. Paige chortled at his questions.

        Where was she last night? Why does suddenly he now care about her whereabouts?

“My shameless father is now caring about me. Why was I denied access to my office?” She went straight to the point.

      Beating around the bushes were unnecessary, especially in this situation since both of them clearly knew his reason for her dismissal. He laughed out skeptically, folded the newspaper and kept it on the couch.

“You are suspended for now but I might as well grant you access if you apologize to your fiance and agree to marry him .”

“Look Paige, your beauty might be on the top level but your attitude sucks. You are becoming a menace to me and I have every right to sell you off .”

“This man is rich, young and healthy and has many properties under his name. I have thought it very well and seen that he would be a perfect match for you. Why do you keep rejecting him ?”

            Paige's grin turned more evil. If what her father said was true then why did he not lend his daughter's hand in marriage? And decided to lend my hand to him.

“He would also be perfect for Alyssa, why did you not let her try her luck first? With all this benefits you mentioned, you are just out there to sell me off for the growth of your motherfucking company!”

        Her heart was filled with mixed emotions. Anger, sadness and mockery all in her heart.

       She disliked and hated this man standing next to her. This life was miserable and she could not hide from the fact. Last six years, she was stabbed by her fiancée all because of her naive attitude, now that the mother earth gave her a chance to relive her life, she was going to pay them back in ten folds.

“You ungrateful brat! I did everything for you. I raised you up with my riches, took good care of you. I let you go into the entertainment industry upon though I disliked it very much. Can you not repay me back?”

“I did not ask for much at all. Just get married to him. My company is facing a little finance problem and he is the only one that could help me. However, he requested that he gets married to you and only you, unless he would not dare help me .”

“Paige, think of the benefits. You can get rich quickly, live in a huge villa and mansion and have his properties under your name. Anytime you feel like it is not working for you, you can divorce him and have half of his riches. Isn't that enough for you to accept the offer. What else do you want?!”

         Adams Ivan begged her. He was about to explode any second as his heartbeat and blood pressure kept rising.

       Why couldn't this devil not be like his daughter, Alyssa who never went against his wills and was very obedient to every word he said?

        He knew Paige that all her nasty attitudes were just a phase and a plan to demand for nothing but love. He blamed himself badly, for allowing his selfish needs to get in the way and not properly focusing on his target.

      How was he suppose to succeed with Paige against him? He could definitely not go against the real owner of these riches.

       Now that he found a way to get rid of her, she disagrees and turns into a raging tigress.

“What else do I want?!” Paige queried with her fingers trembling. She just wanted to tear off his satanic mask and reveal the real devil himself. 

        Moreover, doing that, will put all her plans to expose the Adams' she planned years ago to ruins. Her pitiful self was burnt along with the fire and replaced with the new self.

       Going back to her pitiful self would just remind her of some tragic events. Paige emotionally calmed herself.

        Going against him now when she had little evidence would make her look dumb in front of the court, so she had to keep her pity act up and gather more Info's.

“But father........ He is smelly and so not attractive. I can never be compared and matched up with one who was not on my level .” Paige returned back to her past voice which surprised him more.

       It had been long since he heard Paige speak to him like that with no anger in her voice which made it more suspicious.

       Ivan swept the suspicious voice off from his mind and rejoiced in his mind. 

“So it only took just a plea for her to agree?”Ivan, who still could not believe it, beamed in happiness. Maybe it was just his imagination that Paige knew all his secrets and wanted to rebuke him for it.

“If that was the thing bothering you then you would have said so. I can maybe ask him to undergo plastic surgery. Besides, he would do anything to have you ”

         Ivan for once in his life smiled. He had to make it very convincing to her that he cared for her. At least, she was not putting up an arrogant attitude in front of him.

       That was all that mattered.

“So you would do that? I have been worrying for my whole life thinking and wondering what my children would look like when I marry that hooligan, but finally you cleared my doubts for me. Fine, I will agree.”

“I will marry him on one condition, You fire  Alice Ligne. Paige' request gave her pleasure.

      If she was going to deceive him, she had to at least make it real. She could not accept marrying a bald and ugly man without her making a daring request. It was a battlefield and she was going to give it to him the way he likes it. 

       It would not give her the Paige' vibe.

“Alice Ligne? What kind of request is that?”Ivan fumed again. Here he was thinking she almost gave in, yet she dares to make him do something ridiculous.

          Alice Ligne is his secret mistress who he hid and used in satisfying himself when Belinda could not do her job properly.

       Firing her would make Alice Ligne expose to the media of him sleeping with her considering she even had a child for him.

“Yes father. I do not like  Alice Ligne, so as per my request, I want you to get rid of her!” She hid a scary grin under her cheeks.

          Things just got more interesting. If he denied her request to fire  Alice Ligne then she would already have her twenty fifth evidence on him.

       Of course, how hard was it not to find out that her father kept a secret mistress in his workplace? Not that hard actually.

        She tracked him down several times when he did not come home and had imposed lots of secret cameras in Alice's office.

        And confirmed her suspicion. She just felt bad for Adams Belinda who also is a whore got married for the riches.

         Or did she? They both fit each other and were a match made in heaven. One who danced around at night with many girls and one who divorced her poor husband for another hooligan's riches which were not even his own.

              Such a toxic relationship and an adorable match!

“Can you make another request? I am finding it hard to grant this one .”Ivan shamelessly coaxed her.

        He could not do without his sex toy and firing her could lead to future problems. He began to feel belittled in her presence.

      Her request made it seem like she already knew about his affair with her college classmate. He again swept it off his mind.

       The rebellious girl would possibly not have her hands on any evidence that could prove his deed, so why make it more complex?

“I and Alice Ligne are not on good terms and I can not feel at peace if I get married and she is still in that company. Since you suspended me, I want you to fire her .”

           Her voice sounded more strict. She was bent on not replacing her previous request and sticking to it.

      If he agrees to her request, she would have Alice Ligne out of the company but if he does not then she would have more evidence of him having an affair with her.

         Any path he chose favored her real good in the end and she was just seemingly waiting with patience to see which one would make him land in his doom.

“Since that is your request, I have no choice but to grant it but that would be after you have married him ” He was not that stupid. Unless he got that business deal from their marriage, he could always find a new mistress to satisfy his needs, even a sexier and beautiful one than  Alice Ligne.

“I would definitely not be at peace. I want you to fire her right now or you forget about me marrying him!”

        She stood to her ground which madeIvan want to burst in anger.

“You win! I will fire her right now ” He took his phone and put a call across to the personnel department. “ I want you to fire Miss Alice from the company, she is not longer useful ”

         He jeered with nothing but anger. Even the head manager gasped at his sudden words.

      Weren't the both of them on good terms? What happened that resulted in him firing her?

“I will get it done soon .”

         He went ahead carrying his given task out. He did not want to offend the boss by asking any further questions.

“See....She is fired now, can you marry him?” 

“I can. So when do I meet this husband you keep begging me to marry?”

“Today, the media and camera has been set. Apologize to the media and to his face for being disrespectful and you can go ahead and marry him again ”

      Paige sighed. Not that she was thinking of a way to apologize but sighed because of the face slapping moment that would soon happen.

“I will. Let me get dressed ”

“You look okay. If we do not leave now, he will be angry with us .”Ivan assured her of her appearance and quickly dragged her into the car and drove to the café.

                

In the Café.

          Belinda tried her best to persuade the media and the man from leaving. She couldn't handle it any more. They were getting too impatient for her to handle and so was she.

       Did he not tell her that convincing her was going to be a piece of cake? Then if so, why did it take forever to drag her here.

“Ivan, where is Paige? Do not tell me that you failed to convince her? They are fed up of waiting ” Adams Belinda dragged him over to the corner when she did not see any sign of Paige.

“If I didn't, do you think I would not have called you. She is getting changed and applying makeup. Be rest assured that she is not going to try anything stupid!”

“I hope so ” Adams Belinda concluded their conversation when Paige walked in with her usual outfit and a slight make-up on her face.

       She strolled to the seat where the show would begin and sat down. Paige took a deep breath and faced him. She gave her best model smile and went on.

“Mr. Sam, I, Paige Adams, sincerely, Wait! Who wrote this?”
