Next Day, in the Adams' mansion.

           The beginning of the day was hectic for both Ivan and Belinda as they both got their own incoming calls from different sponsors calling off their deals.

         Ever since the happening and embarrassment of the young man, most of his shareholders left his company, and he also lost his sponsors too, all because of that devil!

       He gritted his teeth while picking up the last phone call, frowned his wrinkled face and glared at the call. It was his secretary's number calling to tell him more bad news.

          Before yesterday everything was okay, he had good deals internationally, however after the sudden trending of the viral video accompanied with the kiss, his deals disappeared overnight leaving him all raged and furious!

“Paige Adams! I will make you pay for what you just did!” He gritted his teeth with sharp sounds making his wife cringe from the sound. He dropped the phone on the ground and stared at her picture.

       Her innocent smile in the picture agitated him so much that he wished to erase her existence from humanity totally. Her appearance is a disturbance to both of them including his daughter too.

         Adams Alyssa also lost some films due to that scoundrel's misbehavior and had to suffer the same fate as her father did. The most annoying one of them was that he lost his mistress to her dirty schemes.

“Here you are worrying how to pay her for her deeds! I warned you that we shouldn't have adopted her the first time we saw her in the hospital. She is bad luck and look at what we are facing! We raised a hooligan who only drinks, sleeps and makes trouble for us!” Adams Belinda fumed even more as her limited cloth card at the most fancy boutique was canceled.

“Do you think I have a choice to keep her hanging here! I'd have thrown her out of this house if she did not own the house. When did Paige Adams become like this? She wasn't this arrogant! ”

           He yelled to himself. Years ago, the only reason why his plan could bloom was that Paige Adams then was still naive and easy to deceive. However, she just changed overnight and grew much more stubborn than before. 

       He needed to take it gradually in order to tame the wild beast before she gets him in trouble and exposes him and his master's secret.

“Father, Mother ” Alyssa greeted as she bent her head low, raised it back up and proceeded to the chair where they sat. “How long do I have to pretend to be nice to that brat?!”

          She herself could not hold the storm within her anymore and was about to burst if she did anything crazy. Why wasn't she just submissive and let their wills be done on her?!

       Alyssa dared not to reason what went in the little head of Paige and why she wanted to be the center of attention! She was stealing her roles gradually and making her loose her fans.

“Yes Honey! When can you dispose of her now?! We've got the company and some of the riches registered under our names. Even if we throw her away, then we'd still have something to fall back on!” Belinda tried to compromise with him. Truth be told, she had always hated Paige Adams to the core and thought of every plan to get rid of her.

              Ivan glared towards her with ridicule. What was this woman talking about?! As instructed by the master, he is not allowed to save any of the wealth so that it won't be easily retracted to him when the plan fails. 

“So what are we going to do with her? Tell me, she is a nuisance to my life. Our daughter Alyssa has suffered enough in her hands. Look at me, if I keep up with her for one more month, I will grow old!”

“Soon my dear! Just trust me when I say that once the mission is deemed successful, we can do whatever we like to that brat! Besides, without her father and mother, she is nothing!”

                        

           The early morning sun brushed against her smooth silky legs while she stretched out. She held her eardrum as the alarm rang violently making her yell frustratedly. Her mind brushed off on a particular memory and she sighed in anger.

        This was the day she'd catch her sister having sex with her soon to be husband in the hotel, and today, Paige Adams wasn't ready to experience the same heartbreak.

“Why all of today?! ”Paige took out her phone from the charger, and scrolled through her calendar and whined more.

         Does she truly need to pretend again? After seeing her cheating fiancée with her sister on the bed, she did feel a lot of heartbreak but this time it would be like watching porn all over again.

       She stood up all sluggish, took her bath and put on a black jeans from the closet paired with a crop top. She adjusted her hair to the right, tied it into a bun with a ribbon and applied little makeup.

   

“Paige Adams! This is your time to prove that you are over that Dylan guy! Come on! Show them who you are. ” She encouraged herself, balled her fist and pulled it up, down simultaneously. She sneered at the incoming call from her father, picked up the call and changed her tone to the sweet Paige Adams.

              Paige cringed disdainfully at her sweet meek voice.

“Paige, it is your mother Adams Belinda. We have a little favor for you, can you come home for breakfast ” Her sweet mother Belinda, pleaded with her.

           Paige Adams could not help but sneer at the fake white lotus voice she formed. Her past self would have easily fallen for the trick be that as it may be, she wasn't her old past self but a new one and such tricks were old fashioned.

“Mom?” She addressed her by the title and went on. “I am busy and might not be able to drop by today. Can I come tomorrow or is it important? If so, let sister Alyssa take it up ”

“Paige Adams!” Belinda's voice turned hoarse while she gripped the phone in anger. That bitch just dared to call them unimportant people?   

     What was she busy with that she couldn't drop by besides she was currently unemployed so it couldn't be that she was working. Belinda comforted herself and continued her fake motherly tune.

“Paige Adams, it is just breakfast we want you to have with us. The driver would come to pick you up. Get dressed okay? Bye!” She hanged up on her before she could even reject the offer. As usual, Belinda was even rude to her during phone calls.

             Paige sighed, faced the mirror again and smirked in happiness. Phase one of her plan was about to commence and she couldn't explain how happy she was.

“Soon, very soon Adams Ivan, I'd have you turned over to the police for your wicked crimes!”

            Paige did not bother to waste any more time, came out from Jennie's house, and entered the car which was sent to by the Adams'. She ignored the chauffeur 's rude greetings, plugged her seatbelt in the hole and laid her head on the chair.

         It was time to see what the Adams' had installed for her.

                               

In the Adams' Mansion.

            Everyone was seated patiently on the chair all waiting for the arrival of Paige. They got bored of waiting and fumed more when thirty minutes clocked from when they phoned her. At last, the tall black door was pushed open and their endless waiting was brought to an end.

        Paige Adams strode into the house, with her hands pocketed into her trousers. She smiled happily, sat on the chair and grinned at the seemingly calm uncle.

       Seeing her grin made him only to fume more.

“Paige Adams, father has been waiting for you. look at the time you come in. Do you not have any respect for your father?” The meek Alyssa sneered in her words while Paige Adams in her mind laughed out loud.

           Father?! When was her scheming uncle called father and why had he been waiting for her?! She wasn't used to this kind of sheepish behavior from them and wondered more.

“Did I waste time?! My precious father has fired me, so I had plenty of time to sleep in. ”

“You!” He was unable to keep his calm in contact; yelled while banging his palms ragingly on the table. “Where have you been?! Are you not tired of bringing embarrassment to this family? Tell me, Paige Adams, have we not been the best parent for you?”

            Paige  widened her eyes at the level of shamelessness that this family possessed. Did he just call their parenting style the best? Over her dead body would she ever admit to his words.

      Once in the past she'd longed for her parent's love and always did everything in order to please them. She had worked for free in the Adams' corps and given most of her work credit to Alyssa.

         She had also let them trample over her so many times in the past, nevertheless it was time to call up for a new change!

“Father, mother I know I've not been the best child you've ever had. And for that, I am very sorry ”Paige bowed her head, maintained a very pretentious beam on her face while in her mind sneered at them.

        The saying was right. You fight fire with fire! Did they think that she'd give in so quickly and easily to their wills? If she did then she'd not be the wild beast of the Adams'!

         Her sudden apology shocked the three of them to death. Did she just apologize for her behavior? They all thought she knew about their plan so why did she suddenly become the meek daughter again? The shocking attitude of hers stunned Ivan that he couldn't speak anymore but stare at her.

      His mind kept roaring not to believe her but his selfish nature pleaded not to doubt her. As long as she did not know what their ultimate plan was, they were safe.

“It is just that father and mother would not love me as much as you did to Alyssa which made me wonder whether I was your blood or adopted. ”Paige paused in her statement making emphasis on the adopted part, also she tried her best not to sound as if she knew anything about their plan. “I am greatly sorry for ruining the marriage proposal that you worked your butts off. Now I have thought about it, I have been unruly to you all. Hope my apology is accepted? ”

             They all blinked in confusion. Were they hearing and seeing things well? How come the girl who was rebellious became good again overnight. They did not need to suspect her new actions cause they felt there was no need.

“So you finally know that you've been rude and arrogant? ”
