48. ...all gloomy.

Naya's POV

There's a glint of disappointment in Henry's eyes as he stands by the doorstep.

When he opens his mouth to speak, my fingers curl into the side of my dress.

“You're a married woman, Naya Yorke. Or, have you forgotten that?”

I stand my ground, refusing to let him get the mental advantage over me.

“How did you find me here?” I blurt out.

His shoulders drop with a sigh. “Rowan owns the fucking hotel.”

My heart drops to the pit of my stomach. I'm screwed.

I'm speechless and he notices it. Then he takes matches forward until he has closed the distance between us.

He grabs my hand. “We're going home.”

My steps falter behind him as he drags me away.

“Wh-what about h-him?” My voice shakes as I point at Kelvin who's on the floor as we move away.

“I knocked him out,” Henry responds and my mind flies.

“Don't worry. He can't file a case against you. Management will report that he had a hangover and misbehaved,” Henry says, the fast pace of his steps unyielding.
