Naya's POV

It's 2:10pm the next day and I'm in Maddie's house. She's all jiggy when I let her know of the date I have today and that I want her to tag along.

I wasn't able to sleep last night. All through the night, I chatted with Kelvin Anthony. I asked him if he was okay with me bringing a friend along and he said yes.

I notice a comb tucked in Marie's hair and she's pulling out her make-up box.

“Marie?” I call.

“Yes, Naya.” She sounds so anxious.

“What are you doing?” I ask.

“Getting really,” she swiftly answers. “I have to look good, don't I?”

I let out a soft exhale. “Can you please put yourself together? It's only 2pm, not 6pm yet.”

She rushes to respond. “Celebrities don't wait for anyone. You could be thinking you have all the time in the world to get ready. All it takes is one nap and you'd find yourself at 5pm struggling to get ready and catch up with him.”
