Naya's POV
It takes every ounce of self control not to grab the knife behind Liam and stab his heart through the back.
I can't believe that I haven't thrown up yet from the number of times I've kissed him this afternoon in the kitchen.
It disgusts me. His mere presence.
My mind can't shake off the feeling that he is up to no good.
Everything about him gives that away; from the overly lengthy smile on his face, down to how he has endlessly tried to say sweet things to me.
When he leaves, I go into the toil
Naya's POVThere's a frown on Liam's face immediately as I get into the car.“I told you to stay back, Naya,” he doesn't hesitate to say.His fists are tight on the steering, the engine of the car humming as it awaits him to put it in motion.“Babe… take it easy okay? We'll find a way to get the money and a donor,” I assure him.I'm so damned that I have to speak this way to this devil. But all I care about is the little child's life, nothing else.“I can't take it easy, Nay
Liam's POVI stand in front of the massive Greenheart hospital. My attention is stuck on their giant symbol — a snake curled on a green apple, while I wait for Naya to come out.I wonder what could have been the motivation behind the symbol. Every meaning I try to read into it has a negative message to it.I stroll down to the lot, unlocking my car and taking a can of whiskey from the dashboard. Taking a gulp, I squeeze the hot liquor down my throat and out the can down.Relaxing on my seat, a soft giggle escapes my lips as I think about how gullible Naya is. She has always been like that, anyway.
Naya's POVI'm standing before Sophie's door. A weak sigh falls out of my mouth as I'm about to touch the doorbell.I remember when I didn't have to knock before going into the house. But now, I do. A personal decision of mine, which she's yet to take note of. And if at all she has, she hasn't found the balls to discuss it with me.The bronze knob twists and the door comes open.“Hey, Naya. What are you standing out there doing?” Sophie says. “The door was open all along.”I scratch the back of my head, forcing a nervous smile. “Oh, my bad. L
Liam's POVI'm seated on a long white stool, waiting for the physician as he examines the blood.“You got all this from one person, Liam?” He asks.“Yes,” I answer curtly. He chuckles. “Hope that person is still alive.”“That's none of your damn business,” I caution him. “Quickly confirm the blood-type. I need to get going.”“I’m almost done with the analysis,” he says, letting out a sigh. He scratches his white beards, pushing his gl
Liam's POVMy heart pounds heavily against my ribcage. This can't be happening. I literally brought Naya's blood to save the princess' life and also save this idiot from the master's wrath. How ugly can people be?“I don't want no fucking video. Tell me what exactly happened here,” the master demands.“Liam brought in some new blood and made me confirm that it was the same blood type,” the physician responds. My hand clutches my dagger tight.Without looking at me, the master orders, &ld
Naya's POVMy eyes collide with Rowan's dark eyes in the back of the car I just entered. Cold feet grips me immediately.“Henry,” I mutter.“I told you he wanted to see you now, didn't I?” Henry says.I shake my head as a sigh escapes my lips.“Fine. You played smart.”I lock my jaws together as my eyes meet the cold otbs of Rowan's eyes.“Good afternoon, Rowan Yorke,” I blurt out.
Naya's POVFrom the main gate of the Yorke family estate down to the main mansion, my eyes can't believe what they've just seen. There's no way in the world one family could own such a huge property. I can't count the acres of land but I'm pretty sure an airport would fit perfectly here.I don't know how to ask Rowan if all of this belonged to his family since I've clearly seen their name written on the overhead post at the entrance.Henry drives gently until we get to the main family mansion. My legs suddenly feel heavy at the thought of coming down from the car.
Rowan's POVDinner ends and the dining table gradually empties, except for grandpa and I who stay back.Without him having to say it during the mealtime, I already knew that we had a discussion to make. From his end of the table which directly faces mine, his brown eyes stamp a blank stare at me while I relax with a toothpick between my lips.He suddenly drops his fork and intensifies his stare.“What were you thinking?”“I did what you asked me to do,” I answer him.“And that is this?” he scoffs, pointing at the exit where Naya walked out through. “I arranged someone with a wolf that is good enough for yours. Instead, you chose this?”“She's okay for me,” I retort.“An omega? A mere omega…” he stresses, veins popping out of his forehead. “And you say she's good enough for you? What have you been drinking in the city?”“I'd appreciate it if you didn't bring my drinking life into this,” I calmly say.His brows hitch. “Goddamn it. What hell of a grandson are you? Do you understand what
