Naya's POV
I'm standing before Sophie's door. A weak sigh falls out of my mouth as I'm about to touch the doorbell.
I remember when I didn't have to knock before going into the house. But now, I do. A personal decision of mine, which she's yet to take note of. And if at all she has, she hasn't found the balls to discuss it with me.
The bronze knob twists and the door comes open.
“Hey, Naya. What are you standing out there doing?” Sophie says. “The door was open all along.”
I scratch the back of my head, forcing a nervous smile. “Oh, my bad. L
Liam's POVI'm seated on a long white stool, waiting for the physician as he examines the blood.“You got all this from one person, Liam?” He asks.“Yes,” I answer curtly. He chuckles. “Hope that person is still alive.”“That's none of your damn business,” I caution him. “Quickly confirm the blood-type. I need to get going.”“I’m almost done with the analysis,” he says, letting out a sigh. He scratches his white beards, pushing his gl
Liam's POVMy heart pounds heavily against my ribcage. This can't be happening. I literally brought Naya's blood to save the princess' life and also save this idiot from the master's wrath. How ugly can people be?“I don't want no fucking video. Tell me what exactly happened here,” the master demands.“Liam brought in some new blood and made me confirm that it was the same blood type,” the physician responds. My hand clutches my dagger tight.Without looking at me, the master orders, &ld
Naya's POVMy eyes collide with Rowan's dark eyes in the back of the car I just entered. Cold feet grips me immediately.“Henry,” I mutter.“I told you he wanted to see you now, didn't I?” Henry says.I shake my head as a sigh escapes my lips.“Fine. You played smart.”I lock my jaws together as my eyes meet the cold otbs of Rowan's eyes.“Good afternoon, Rowan Yorke,” I blurt out.
Naya's POVFrom the main gate of the Yorke family estate down to the main mansion, my eyes can't believe what they've just seen. There's no way in the world one family could own such a huge property. I can't count the acres of land but I'm pretty sure an airport would fit perfectly here.I don't know how to ask Rowan if all of this belonged to his family since I've clearly seen their name written on the overhead post at the entrance.Henry drives gently until we get to the main family mansion. My legs suddenly feel heavy at the thought of coming down from the car.
Rowan's POVDinner ends and the dining table gradually empties, except for grandpa and I who stay back.Without him having to say it during the mealtime, I already knew that we had a discussion to make. From his end of the table which directly faces mine, his brown eyes stamp a blank stare at me while I relax with a toothpick between my lips.He suddenly drops his fork and intensifies his stare.“What were you thinking?”“I did what you asked me to do,” I answer him.“And that is this?” he scoffs, pointing at the exit where Naya walked out through. “I arranged someone with a wolf that is good enough for yours. Instead, you chose this?”“She's okay for me,” I retort.“An omega? A mere omega…” he stresses, veins popping out of his forehead. “And you say she's good enough for you? What have you been drinking in the city?”“I'd appreciate it if you didn't bring my drinking life into this,” I calmly say.His brows hitch. “Goddamn it. What hell of a grandson are you? Do you understand what
Naya's POV“C’mon, aunty Naya, dive in. The pool is warm,” Cookie cries out.“Oh, Cookie, I'm not an olympic champion,” I laugh as I gently walk to the corner of the pool and pick up the yellow floater. I wish I could shy away from what I've always seen as a precarious adventure, but I've made a friend tonight who I don't intend to break bonds with.Wearing it, I carefully step into the pool. We're at the shallow part of the pool, but the water is deep enough to reach my waist as I step in.The chill water soaks up my body and I shiver as goosebumps spread all over my skin.I've never been a good swimmer, so I don't take the risks that the experts do.“Come over here!” Cookie calls, splashing a handful of water at me.She smirks as I cover my face with my palms.“Catch me if you can!” She taunts. Her nanny is standing by the poolside, watching as we play together.I didn't expect we'd be playing like this, at least, not in the space of one day. I guess being sassy didn't stop her fro
Naya's POVI wake up the next morning to the screeching of car tyres and the loud revving of car engines. I rolled to the window and peeked out to see two sports cars drifiting around one of the water fountains.A tiny knocks lands on my door and I pull my nightwear over my breasts.“Come in, Cookie,” I say.The door swings open and she rushes in immediately.“Good morning, aunt Naya.” She springs her energetic self at me on the bed.I do my best to catch her and embrace her in a warm hug.“How are you, Cookie?” I ask with a smile.“Excited,” she cries out. “Come with me. Big bro and Henry want to race along the tracks.”I turn my face to the window and a smile curls my lips.“Alright, Cookie,” I smile and climb down the bed.I brush and then change into one of Rowan's black sweatpants. It's long enough to reach my toes so I pull it up to my stomach. I wear his black Ghost Rider shirt and it's towers over me, but surprisingly makes the fit.Strolling downstairs with Cookie, we join
Rowan's POVI can't shake the thought of Naya off my head now that my grandfather has accepted her into the family.I'm seated in my office, my fingers tapping on the desk as I stare blankly at the screen of my laptop.Honestly, I didn't expect that my old man would accept her. That's why I took time before taking her to see him, so that he'd at least consider that we've been together for a long time. Her wolf doesn't seem capable of matching my wolf of rage, but that's not a problem. I'm not getting married for my wolf, I'm doing it for myself.I've barely had a relationship where I felt at peace as much as I do with her. That's why I'm going to keep her. Moreover, there's a lot I need to understand about her.Since she was wants a week to think about it, I should get her a personal driver and maybe bodyguards too.I palm a hand over my face and I draw a sharp breath.“Sir?” My assistants voice chimes in my ear.I look up and she's standing right before my desk. It seems she's been
