CHAPTER 18

I left her and went back to my bed. The next morning, Maya came and apologized to me which I accepted. We went to take our bath. I came back to my bed, so that I could call my mother and say good morning to her but, my phone was nowhere to be found.

I knew I kept it under my pillow, I searched in my bags but it was not there. I started crying. Maya came to me and asked what was wrong. I told her that i could not find my phone.

"Again? Who took it?"

"I don't know"

I left her there, went to report to the teacher about the incidence.

"Why will you be the only one looking for something? Maybe you are careless, try to be careful with your belongings"

I was not satisfied. At least she should have come to the room and helped me search for it. It was then I knew that we had thieves living among us.

There was no way to reach home. I knew mom would be worried. I made a silent prayer, I wish to leave here soon and save.
