CHAPTER 136: SOPHIA, THE ONE SURVIVOR

Ansel and Amos reached the packhouse in the middle of the night, their hearts heavy with the events of the day.

Everything just happened fast. And as the days passed, many of their people were dying and Ansel just hoped that the higher house that made laws for all creatures would notice this and help him before it was too late.

He could deal with everything himself but as law makers and people who pretended to be holy according to Ansel, they were supposed to open their eyes and see that the wolf species were at risk.

But again, Ansel was aware who those people were. They were just corrupt beasts who were a bunch of good for nothing, lazy people who depended on others for information.

Ansel ousted back those annoying thoughts then turned to the packhouse in front of him.

The packhouse stood tall and silent, the moon casting long shadows over its wooden structure.

Ansel moved with purpose, his grip on Sophia gentle yet firm as he carried her into a room adjacent to Jack's.
