Chapter 78

AUTHOR’S POV

Odessa stood up quickly and raced to the door. The urgency to see her mate filled her with weeks old longing and desire. His name has been the first thing on her lips, the minute she woke up, then finding out that he wasn't in the palace, that had been pure torture for her.

Odessa grabbed onto the door handle, and was about to use her other hand to turn the key and unlock the door when she suddenly felt heat in her hand.

Right in front of her eyes, the hand holding the door knob caught fire. She immediately yanked her hand away and began to shake her hand to put off the fire but it only made it worse.

“Princess Odessa, are you in there?” Elixir asked from the other side of the door.

“Yes! Yes, I…I'm here.” Odessa responded, blowing harder at her burning hand, and then the fire alarm in her room went off.

Her eyes widened, There's a freaking fire alarm! How did I not notice it?

“Is everything okay?” Miriyam asked, her hands pounding on the door.
