AUTHOR’S POV

Throughout that week, Odessa wasn't herself. She was often lost in thought and always kept to herself. Her interaction with her maids reduced drastically and it was obvious that something was weighing heavily on her mind.

Evelyn knew what she had to do but the question was did she have the courage to do it?

“I still think it's better you face him at dinner.” Mitchell chipped in one day after lunch.

Evelyn shook her head, “No, too crowded.”

“So you want a private setting with the King? Are you trying to die secretly because that is what will happen to you if you ever meet the King secretly.” Hugo frowned, showing his displeasure in Evelyn's risky plan.

You can't just walk up to the King and everything will be all merry merry, there were protocols and procedures to follow but Evelyn knew she didn't need those. Her identity as Odessa’s maid was already the perfect ticket in her plan.
