ODESSA’S POV

When I got to the dining table, Victor was already seated and Eira was standing beside him.

What a wonderful coincidence! I exclaimed within me, suddenly feeling giddy. I wasn't expecting her presence at the table for another few days since Victor wanted her to lay low, but this…this was better than I expected. I might as well start carrying out the plan now.

Although I knew where the King was and why he wasn't there before me, not asking would make it look suspicious.

“Where is His Majesty? He's never late for breakfast.” I asked, ensuring that I sounded very concerned.

“I'm sure he's fine. He's my father and can at least miss one breakfast in his lifetime.” Victor scoffed.

“I asked a question. You don't have to sound so bitter about it.” I rolled my eyes and gave Evelyn an appreciative nod when she placed a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice in front of me.
