AUTHOR'S POV"There was something about the Princess that always drew me to her. I didn't know what it was back then, but despite all the negative things everyone said or thought about her, I found myself wanting to be with her, wanting to be her friend. When I saw her here, I had my suspicion, but just like you, I thought it was impossible, not until that day that she attacked me." Kaiden stood to his feet and began pacing; he couldn't wrap his head around this new information that he'd gotten. He'd never really had the time to think deeply about her identity but being a fake had not even crossed his mind once, because a coupling between both species was that impossible to achieve. There was always a disaster waiting to happen at the end. "You still haven't told me how this benefits me or my mate?" Sunitra smiled, "I am a water fae, trained and supervised. My powers are under my control, and no matter how emotional I get, they don't act unless I command them to. I'm willing to tut
AUTHOR’S POVOdessa woke up with a smile on her face; her dainty fingers shielded her face from the morning sun as her eyes remained closed. Suddenly, her mind was filled with recollections of incidents that happened yesterday. How she’d woken from her deep slumber after days of endless sex and manifestation of desires. The King had been right there, waiting for her. He’d gathered her in his arms and walked towards his huge, gigantic bathroom, sinking them both into a large tub of hot water, medicinal herbs, and aromatic bath oils. Odessa remembered moaning with relief as the hot water attacked her sore spots and falling asleep to the strong hands of the King as he messaged her body in the tub. It had been nothing but first-class treatment. He'd pumped her little tummy with food, cuddling her at the end of their late brunch. She had heard the King rejecting any requests to see him for anything work-related. They'd gone on a date in the evening, a dinner date inside the King’s bedro
AUTHOR’S POVCassian stared at his brother as he worked silently. It was very obvious that Caesar was working undercover for some shitty ass reason, but why do it in the Lycan realm? He couldn't remember any case that they might have been working on that would warrant his brother to go undercover in their pack. If it had been in any other Kingdom or another part of the realm, he would have understood. But here? It looked very fishy. Caesar was quick to attend to Cassian, and he deeply apologized to the two ladies who had been waiting for the fish they'd purchased. He was trying to get rid of Cassian quickly so that he could go back to work. Cindy wrapped her arms around Cassian's bicep and tugged him a little so that his attention would be back on her. “Let's leave.” She whispered into his ears. The man looked like he was about to protest, but Cindy quickly chipped in, “We can't just stand here and watch him. It would interfere with his work, and people might begin to suspect him
AUTHOR’S POV“Your Majesty! How did you get in here?” Odessa asked as she locked the door behind her and hurried towards Kaiden. Evelyn already took the hint and went back to her room. Kaiden smiled as Odessa threw herself at him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and head, holding her close to him. “Did you use the balcony again?” Odessa asked as she snuggled against her mate. “That seems to be my only entrance for now.” He grinned as he pulled away from her, “How are you? It feels as if I haven't seen you in ages. Did you get more beautiful?” Odessa laughed, “Your Majesty, you saw me yesterday.” “That's too long ago. I don't know how we intend to keep up this charade, Odessa. Staying away from you for too long is killing.” “I'm guessing we have the mate bond to blame for that. It has made my king very clingy.” “You don't like it?” Kaiden asked. “Of course not. Who wouldn't love the idea of having the Lycan King wrapped around their finger?” She teased, and Kaiden rolled h
AUTHOR’S POVI was so wrong. My conclusion could not have been more far off than it actually was. This training was a nightmare. Sunitra was the most strict teacher I'd ever met. It was as if the woman wanted me to master the entire element in a span of one day. Perhaps that was her goal, as she stood to gain something from that accomplishment.“Hold it in.” Sunitra commanded, her voice as cold and firm as ice; her eyes were shut tight as a huge bubble of water enveloped her small frame in a yoga position. I glared at the serene woman inside the bubble and sent the flame I had been trying to suppress straight for her. The fiery orb collided the large water barrier and turned into a huge volume of steam. The water barrier stood strong anyway, and Sunitra’s eyes opened, latching onto me with a mix of disappointment and expectation.“You were supposed to hold it in?” “It’s not that easy. You're a water fae, and I'm weilding fire. The heat radiating from it is unbearable.” “Water com
AUTHOR’S POV“Wow, you got here early. My goodness boy, what have I done to deserve such an hardworking apprentice like you?” Old man, Richie leaned on his cane as he waved his hand around, praising Ceasar. “My mother taught me that a man who is diligent in his business receives the goodness of the goddess. Opening the ship early would attract a lot of customers.” Caesar explained with a smile as he prepped the boards for another set of cutting and marinating fishes. Richie laughed, “Oh boy, I don't doubt that for a second but I think those ladies are here for you and your skills and not my fish. I'm sure if they had the opportunity to watch and not buy anything, they would gladly jump on it.” “You flater me too much, Sir.” Caesar sailed and continued cleaning the boards and knives. That morning was truly blessed as the sop was more bubbly than usual. Richie had to join in the marinating if the fish and frying at the same time. At a point, some set of people placed down their orde
AUTHOR’S POV The warm morning sun rose brightly over the Kingdom, casting a golden hue on the inhabitants of the pack as they bustled about; everyone was doing one thing or the other. Banners, balloons, and ribbons with vibrant colors were everywhere, and every pillar and building was designed with vibrant colors. Even the flowers looked more alive today; the sound of music echoed everywhere, and people chit-chatted while they worked. The atmosphere was cheerful and lively, a very noticeable contrast to their regular days of work. All this enjoyment was all for one reason. The King’s Birthday. No realm in the world loved celebrating their birthday more than the Lycan realm. Huge festivities were always thrown a week prior to the event, dignitaries and wealthy influential people were always invited, and the entire pack would drink and be merry. Still, every ten decades, the King’s birthday would be celebrated by the inhabitants of his pack and his realm, no outsiders were allowed.
AUTHOR’S POVThe party kick-started in the evening in the center of the town square; excitement buzzed through the realm as people walked about dressed in different attires with masks of feathers to add an aura of mystery to the theme of the party. Odessa and Sunitra sat together to plan the day's whole event. The first event of the day was the outdoor party at the town square. Only people interested would attend as the actual party wouldn't start until late at night in the huge ballroom of the castle. The inhabitants of the pack arrived and donned different jewelry and exquisite masks. The whole outdoor area was bustling with colors of different shades and vibrance. Melodious notes of the music band filtered through the air as some of the members moved around with plates in their hands, filled partially with the first course of the day. After eating, some of the children held each other’s hands and began to lead a dance around the stage. Some willing adults joined in, too; the ban
