Chapter 4

*Bhairavi Pov*

                

I continued to fight the soldiers as much as I can without regard of the feeling of dizziness enveloping me again, but I cannot walk out of it accepting my defeat.

“Lass you need to put down your sword. Otherwise, you will be executed.” I heard a booming voice from behind me.

“Who are you?” I questioned the man who is threatening me with my life, but asking me to put my sword down, which would definitely harm me in a more brutal way from all these men.

“I am Alastair. The future ruler of Nadir.” He replied making me release a snort in an unladylike way.

“If you believe that you have the ability to become a King then defeat me.” I challenged him while thinking about the place Nadir about which I have never heard from my Father.

Hearing my words, all the soldiers stalled the fighting and stepped away from us. I frowned but took a breath pleading myself to not let any dizziness get near me.

“You are challenging me? A mere weak woman is challenging me?” He questioned which sounded like he is questioning himself.

“Scared?” I questioned him turning around to see a built warrior with a questioning expression on his face.

“You! You got the effects of liquid sooner than everyone. You are that weak girl.” He mumbled and I frowned when I heard the word ‘Liquid’.

“Why are you still here when I gave your acquaintances the permission to take you with them? And why did you take the life of King Ramsey?” He questioned with the rage covering his face.

“Because he need to be killed.” I replied forwarding the sword.

“I do not fight with a lass.” He mumbled stepping back.

“But I do fight with the kings who have no right to be a King.” I mumbled stepping forward.

“You are making a grave mistake.” He uttered glaring at me.

“I am saving the people of Nadir from a ruler who knows only to win by backstabbing.” I retorted and a heard a laugh from a man who turns out to be the person from whom I took the sword from.

“You asked for it.” He said and started the fight with me.

Everything was going well for the first five minutes, but in a second I felt myself falling on the ground with the blackness enveloping me.

Before I could feel myself on the ground I felt hands around me and saw the arrogant man holding me with my eyes slowly closing.

*Alastair Pov*

I stared at the girl in my arms and saw that she lost her consciousness. Then I glanced around to see everyone staring at us with bewilderment.

“What just happened?” I questioned my men who have the same look.

“Does anyone know her?” I asked the left people of the Kingdom and the soldiers belonging to Ramsey but no one has the knowledge about her.

“Why don’t you figure it out while we continue to send the people to their locations?” Galvin said who is my second in command.

“You do that.” I mumbled lifting up the woman completely into my arms and walked towards the ship while my horse followed my steps.

“From whom did she got the sword?” I questioned the few men who are following me.

“From me!” Colton replied with a frown who is my third in command.

“How?” I mumbled staring at him.

“I do not know. One second I was standing while assisting the people regarding the ships they need to climb on and within the next I saw her removing the binds of Ramsey with my sword.” He explained still with a frown.

“How can you not know? You need to have full attention on your sword, even in your sleep, which is our first training.” I shouted at him with a glare.

“Atleast the Ramsey got executed with my sword right?” He mumbled hoping to reduce my rage.

“Just imagine what will his highness say when he get to know that a woman took the life of the brutal man. He needed to be punished in our land.” I mumbled climbing onto our ship and placed her on the floor.

“Bind her hands before she wants to take the life of another one.” I added before stepping away and he gave a laugh.

“And don’t forget that I remember the person who left a laugh hearing her insulting words.” Hearing my words he turned away and got onto his duty.

“So how did she fought? Many of the warriors didn’t get to stop her.” Gavin asked, getting onto the ship after all the ships with the people left with a few of our men and also after burning the lifeless body of Ramsey and a few soldiers who got killed.

“I do not know. She was good at dodging, but before I can start in real sense she lost her sense. And I think the soldiers were in shock because of which they couldn’t stop her.” I replied glancing at the sleeping form of the nameless woman.

“Are you sure, Alastair?” Colton asked with a smirk.

“Don’t tempt me, Colton. Otherwise, I will even inform his highness about your sword.” I replied with my eyebrows arched in challenge.

“All the horses got shifted into the ship. Shall we start the sail?” Captain asked me and I gave him a nod in affirmation.

“Who is she anyway?” I questioned myself more and others less.

“We will know when she wakes up after one day. All the people started losing their conscious after climbing the ships which will assure that our assisting men will be safe.” Gavin replied and I nodded.

“Why did she lose her conscious in the beginning itself?” Colton asked us and we all just gave him a shrug.

“Do you know what it means?” One man suddenly questioned.

“What?” I questioned him back.

“She lost the fight with you which makes her your slave.” He replied and everyone laughed.

“She is my slave?” I mumbled smirking at him and shook my head because I understood their words.

I never took any woman as my slave and I never will unlike these men. But everyone stopped their laughs when we heard a groan and turned to see her moving with her eyes opening slightly.

“Look Alastair, your slave is waking up already.” Gavin shouted, hearing which she opened her eyes in a blink and stared directly at me.

“This is insane of your slave to wake up.” Another man mumbled when she slowly started getting up improperly because of the reason of her bounded hands.

Colton helped her a little and she finally stood and glanced at all of us and then at the water, which is surrounding us at present as we are already far away from the shore.

“Go and get to know about your slave, Alastair.” Gavin pushed me with his shoulder and everyone laughed.

“I am not a Slave.” She shouted and before we could blink, she jumped into the water from the ship.

“Stop the vessel.” I shouted at the captain and glanced down to see her swimming towards the shore.

“She has talent.” Colton mumbled in a praise when we saw her swimming even with her hands bind.

“She is just nuts.” I mumbled back before removing the shield and put the sword aside before jumping into the water.

I swam towards her because of which she started swimming even faster, but she suddenly stalled in the middle of the water. I stared at her with a frown and then saw that she is drowning into the water slowly.

“She is again getting the effects of the liquid, Alastair.” Colton shouted from the ship hearing, which I swam with even more speed and reached her before she drowns completely.

“Who are you?” I questioned her shaking my head while she didn’t even have the conscious.

When I got onto the ship and felt her pulse, everyone sighed in relief, but suddenly started laughing at us, making me frown at them.

“Now she made herself your slave in the strongest way. You just saved her life, Alastair.” Another man shouted.

“Get me some clothes.” I ordered them before going into the single room we have on the ship.

“I will bring some blankets for her after some time when you finished.” Colton said glancing at her with worry.

“Did she get her place in your heart, Colton?” I questioned him holding her against me while taking a cloth from the things he brought.

“She is something but do not worry she is only your slave.” He replied winking and left the room closing the door.

I changed myself before putting off the lamp and changed her attire with Colton’s clothes which seems to be better than anyone of ours.

I placed her on the cot and opened the door to see few blankets on the floor. I glanced around to see the men celebrating for the victory and walked inside.

Covering her with all the blankets I lay beside her, hoping to take some rest before we reach our land where I need to face his highness wrath.

But who is this woman? Where did she come from and where does she belong to? I do not know any of it, but one thing I know is that she took away the peace from me which I thought will be there after the little war.

Today I had to fight with a woman because of her. Today I get to doubt my instinct because of her and today I get to jump into the water without a second thought because of her.

But I remember the rage in her eyes when she got to call as my Slave. Looks like she is going to do some more damage to my life with that rage of hers.
