"You will do no such thing," he growled.

"Then I guess this conversation is over unless you have another reason why you invited me here," I said and he just stared at me as if unsure of what to say.

"Leave," he said.

I turned and walked away without a word. I headed straight to my office and began my work for the day. I worked on a few files and submitted them to Alex via email to look through and share his feedback. I had earlier prepared and shared with him his itinerary for the day.

I checked my time and dialled Alex's extension.

"Hello, Mr Williams, your afternoon meeting scheduled for 1 p.m., starts in twenty minutes," I said and waited for his acknowledgement.

"Thank you. Do you have the presentations ready?" he asked.

"Yes, I have already sent them to you," I replied.

"Okay. Get ready to present them," he said and I froze for a couple of seconds before acknowledging and ending the call.

He wanted me to go to the meeting with him and do the presentation. I thought. No problem
