I exhaled and walked to the bed.

"So much for reporting," I said.

"What do you mean? What happened?" I heard Vera say.

"I went to the police. I filed a complaint against Maria only to receive a call a few minutes ago from Mr Williams," I informed her and dropped myself on the bed.

"That scumbag," Vera cursed.

"Yeah, he wants to see me and Maria tomorrow," I informed her.

"You need to quit that job. Speak with your parents. Your father will give you the money to pay the penalty. I don't want you around the dick head. And I don't think they will be happy to find out," Vera suggested.
