I had been so focused on my brother that I had forgotten about the little game I’d been playing with Maxim. I wanted to ask him how he knew my location but it was unnecessary because I was literally with his men who were loyal to him.

He stood in front of me, facing my brother, no doubt with a deathly stare.

I held his hand but he shook it away.

“You must be Vasiliev,” Axel said, a chuckle accompanying his words.

Maxim paused for a second and turned around to spare me a glance before looking back at my brother. “Clarke.”

“I’d love to stay here and chat but I have an important meeting.”
