Since the day Maxim mistakenly told me that he loved me, he hadn’t repeated it and acted like he never said it. It was quite frustrating. I wanted to know if he meant it or if he only said it in the heat of the moment.

It disturbed me but I didn’t know how to bring up the topic without sounding weird. I didn’t want him to think I was obsessed with him or something. We had only started dating. I didn’t want to pursue him by being too demanding and clingy.

“You know you should have packed the day before, right?”

I rolled my eyes as I folded the last shirt I wanted to take with me. “I know. You have told me this a million times.”

“Make it a million and one then.”

“Shut up, Mikhail.” I turned around and sat on my suitcase, gesturing for him to zip it.
