Chapter 3

Kai's POV 

As the words left my mouth Amber's face turned from irritated to anger and sadness. She then spit at me, "Fine you know what, I don't give a fuck, but don't expect me to take you back when you come crawling back to me." she then slapped me, turned away and ran the other way. I rubbed my cheek in annoyance and headed back into the cafeteria. Bella looked at me as I went to sit and asked, "Where's Amber?" I shrugged and said,"I wouldn't know because we broke up." Everyone around the table gasped and stared at me. I just shrugged it off and continued to eat my sandwich. Bella flew up and sprinted out of the cafeteria, and I guess she was going to Amber

Bella POV

When Kai said they broke up, I wanted to jump up and do a happy dance, but I held myself in and flew out of my seat and sprinted out of the cafeteria. I knew Amber would be in the bathroom crying her eyes out, but then I realized Max wasn't at the cafeteria when the bell rang. I shrugged and thought that he probably just had to help a teacher or something. I went into the girls bathroom but didn't see Amber there. I searched in every bathroom, but Amber was no where to be seen. I then started searching the halls and a terrible sight was seen... Max and Amber was making out in the corner. I froze in my tracks and stared at them. Max lifted his face up to take a breath when he spotted me. It was now or never. I had to act dramatic and break up with him. He dropped Amber like a hot patato and I heard her moan, "Ouch babe, that hurt." She then saw where he was looking and followed his gaze and it fell on me. Her facial expression dropped and she started saying to me, "This is not what it looks like Bella, I swear..." I held my hand up to stop her and said to Max,"We're done, don't think of calling me, or trying to get me back, do you hear me, you two timing mother fuck..." I felt someones arms fold around my waist and carry me away. I tried to see who it was and saw that it was Kai. I then said softly, "Kai can you please let go of me?" he set me down gently and I spun around to look in his gaze. He's beautiful blue eyes bored into mine, but I quickly looked away and asked, "How long have you known?" he sucked in a breath, before replying, "I've only known for a few weeks, and I told her I give her one last chance, but this morning when you and Max was snogging each other, she stared longingly at Max, and yeah..." his sentence faded away and I looked back into his eyes. I gave him a quick hug and said,"Thank you for carrying me away, before I said things that would have been to mean." I turned away and walked into the other way and felt Kai's gaze bore into the back of my head, but I didn't turn around.

The day finally ended and I walked to my car. I saw Kai lean against his Volvo and looking at me. I jumped into my Jeep and drove out of my parking space.

When I finally got home, my brother was already there, chilling in front of the TV. "Heyy Lil sis." he greeted. I messed up his hair and skipped up the stairs to my room. I can't believe Kai and I broke up with our bae's on the same day. I got my books out and tried to start on my homework. Did ya caught that word tried. The reason I say tried is because my mind kept wondering over to Kai. Why did we have to meet at the beach. Why did we have to move here. I enjoyed living in Arizona. There I was happy with my boyfriend Jake, but right then my dad had to get a new job and move here to Canada. Well I mean my eyes feasted on the first day here, because it's been forever since I did eyeshopping. But it started to get old and I just started missing Jake. That was until I met Kai. He was so sweet and nice to me, and you can say he carried me on my first few days here, helping me find my classes, showing me around and pulling me into their friend group, and that's how I became popular. I was still the normal Bella I was in Arizona. Still shy and afraid, but I got more confidence through out the years and now I am here, the second most popular girl in the school. First would obviously be Amber, cause you know she's the main bitch. Now that I saw for the first time, or well they think so, he cheated on me, I'm going to avoid Max and Amber. I mean she can do nothing about, plus she doesn't know I'm just acting. 

Kai's POV 

After school, I decided to take a break from my life and went to my 'special' place. I know it sounds super corny, but that's the only thing I can actually call it, cause I've never brought anyone here, not even Amber. Amber. I can't believe I went out with that slut. Actually, I only noticed for the first time what she really was. I guess I only dated her because one it was a dare and two because I didn't give a fuck. Plus it isn't like I didn't give her a second chance after she cheated. And I still can't get the image out of my head when Bella broke up with her boyfriend. But in a way I saw a happy glint in her eyes. Maybe I was just imagining it, but she didn't look upset at all, like she was pretending. I pulled my T-shirt over my head and jumped into the warm water.
