Chapter 2

Bella's POV

I woke up this morning with my alarm clock blaring in my ears. I moved my hand sleepy towards it and switched it off. I stretched and began humming to myself as I climbed out of bed. I walked to my vanity and applied minimal make-up to my face. I decided to go with a full on black outfit and settled with a black tank top and black skinny jeans, with my black vintage vans. The only thing that wasn't black was obviously my hair and the vintage sunglasses I put on my head. I did my blonde hair into a messy bun and headed to the kitchen. Everyone was there, my mother, father and brother. I pecked them all on the cheeks and quickly grabbed the toast out of the toaster and spread jam over it. I put it in my mouth, and rushed to get my car keys and I ran out to my car. I wanted to be early because I wanted to see if I can catch Kai before Amber showed up. I know it's wrong for me to like a other guy while I have a boyfriend, but the whole reason I said yes to Max was to make Kai jealous. I speeded to school in my car, but saw that not one of the two were there yet. I saw Max chilling by his locker and when he saw me, he looked like a little kid who just got his Christmas presents. I giggled and skipped over to him. He smashed his lips against mine and his hand moved to the small of my back. My hands tangled into his hair and I pulled him closer. We went on like that for a few minutes. I pulled away to take a breath, when I noticed that Kai and Amber were standing across from us in the hall, and Kai was staring at me. I stared back at him lifting my eyebrow challenging. He looked away and I looked at Amber, but she didn't look back at me. No, she was staring at Max in awe, but I didn't really mind because I liked Kai and I have suspected something between them along time ago. I turned my face back to Max and made out with him again. As the bell rang, I quickly pulled away and saw that Kai gave Amber a good bye peck before getting his books and heading to class. I quickly got my books and hurried to his side. Damn he looked good to day. The ironic thing is that we wore matching outfits. He wore he usual bad boy jacket with, hot black jeans and black Nikes. I then said in my normal jeerfull tone,"Heyy, Kai bear, we haven't even talked all weekend, how was it?" I quickly wrapped my arms around his neck, giving him a hug. After we hugged he answered in a dull but playful tone,"You know it was average, nothing exciting happened, and you know Amber is in her PMSing stage, so she was completely bitchy." I playfully his his arm and said,"Hey that's my friend your talking about mate." I playfully brought my fists up as if I was making ready to have a fistfight, when he took me by surprise and lifted me up by my waist and onto his shoulder. I giggled and squealed, "Kai let me down." He set me down, but I wish he didn't. We walked into the class and took our seats. I could see Kai wanted to start making a conversation, when Mr. Kingsley came in and said, "Alright class, settle down, and let's start." I turned my attention towards him and started to take notes as he talked. Fuck, I had a feeling today is going to be a long day. 

When the bell ran to announce the end of the lesson, I walked out the door and saw that Max was waiting for me outside. I gave him a welcoming kiss and we walked towards our next class. I took a last glance Kai's way and saw that he was already head gone the other way. Max folded his arm around my waist and gave me a peck on the cheek. I started blushing like mad and hid my face in his chest, just before letting me go into the class, he putted his finger beneath my chin and tilted it upwards to him, and place a gentle kiss on my lips before dissappearing into the crowd. 

Kai's POV 

I stepped into my class and braced myself for the boredom that was to come. Mrs. Merlin was the new hot teacher that took the place of our old teacher, Mr. Brown. I didn't look at her, because I didn't trust my eyes at all, so I just listened to her voice and every now and then glanced at the board to make notes. 

The bell finally rang to announce recess and I dashed out of the classroom as quick as possible. I joined my mates in the cafeteria at our table and saw Amber coming our way and I braced myself. She totally ignored me and went to sit with Bella. That's when I decided to break up with her. The idea just shot into my head, and I tried to shake the thought away but it didn't budge. Without realizing what I was doing, I said, "Amber, can I please talk to you in private." She just glared at me, but nodded her head. We stood up and walked to the outside of the cafeteria and she said irritated, "Yes?" I took a deep breath before saying, "Amber... I'm breaking up with you..."
