It was around 9am in the morning I woke up and couldn't find John beside me, he was already downstairs with the maid.

I stood up from the bed and walked downstairs to him

As I descended the stairs, the sound of my footsteps echoed through the hallway. I was still trying to shake off the sleep, my mind foggy and my eyes heavy. But as I entered the kitchen, I was greeted by the sight of John standing by the counter, chatting with a woman I had never seen before.

"Hi, you're awake," he said, turning to me with a smile as he kissed me good morning.

But my attention was fixed on the woman standing beside him. She was dressed in a crisp black and white uniform, her hair tied back in a neat bun. She looked efficient and professional, but there was something about her that made me uneasy.

"Who is she?" I asked John, my voice laced with a hint of suspicion.

John looked back at me, his expression innocent. "Well, she is the new maid hired by Aliana. She just resumed today."
