Chapter 27

As I stormed out of the room, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anger and frustration. I had never seen John so upset before, and I didn't know how to calm him down. I decided to give him some space and left the room, not knowing where he was or what he was doing.

It was late at night, and I was still fuming from our argument. I couldn't believe that John had blamed me for his ex-wife's return. I didn't know what to do or how to make things right between us.

As I walked back into the room, I noticed that John was nowhere to be found. I looked around, thinking that maybe he was in the bathroom or getting a drink from the minibar. But he was nowhere to be seen.

"Well, maybe he's at the bar," I murmured to myself, trying to make sense of the situation. I shrugged and decided to go to bed, hoping that things would be better in the morning.
