Chapter 12

Rose's Pov

My heart raced with fear as the figure dragged me further into the darkness. I kicked and thrashed, hoping to loosen their grip, but they were too strong.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching, and I felt a glimmer of hope. Someone must have realized I was missing and come to look for me. I redoubled my efforts to break free, hoping to make enough noise to alert him or her to my location.

The figure seemed to sense the danger too. They tightened their grip on me, trying to stifle my cries for help. But it was too late. My father, the Alpha, had spotted us, and he was running toward us at full speed.

The figure hesitated for a moment, then released me and bolted away into the night. I stumbled, catching myself on a nearby tree, gasping for air. My father caught up to me, panting heavily.

"Are you okay?" he asked, concern etched on his face.

I nodded, unable to speak. I was still in shock, my heart pounding in my chest.

My father took my hand and led me back towards the part
