Rose's Pov

The person I met at the door of Sienna's house was no one other than Mia, Brandon's soon to be wife.

"What the fuck is going on today?" I cursed inside myself. "First I met my first love and ex, and now his engaged mate? Looks like today isn't my lucky day," I said to myself while trying not to roll my eyes.

"Hi, Rose," Mia said, looking surprised to see me. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to see Sienna," I said, trying to keep my voice steady and hide my annoyance at her question. "Is she home? She called me a few minutes ago."

Mia hesitated for a moment before nodding and stepping aside to let me in. "Yes, she is at home. I also came to see her for an important discussion,” she said, flashing a smile that held hidden words.

As I entered the house, I couldn't help but feel awkward and uncomfortable. The last time I had seen Mia was at my birthday and mating ceremony with Luke. Since then, we had barely spoken.

"I'll go get Sienna," Mia said, disappearing down the hall
