Chapter 126

Rose's POV

I looked over at the twins, making sure they weren't awake. After that, I carefully stood up from the bed and walked out.

I followed Adriel as he walked out of the room and down the corridor. My heart raced with worry as I caught up to him in his office.

"Adriel, what's going on? Please talk to me," I pleaded, gently placing my hand on his arm as he stood by the window, staring out into the night. His chest rose and fell slowly like he was calming himself.

"Adriel?" I called again and he turned to face me with a smile.

"Yes my love," he said with a smile. "Sorry for scaring you." He answered with a peck to my forehead.

"What happened?"

"I remembered something and I had to rush in to check if it was done or not. It was very important. Sorry for startling you," he explained.

"Hmm," I moaned in understanding. "It happens… just don't scare me like that next time, okay?" I warned him.

He chuckled, "Yes, my Luna, I won't."

"So everything is alright? Is there something you need?"
