Rose's POV

Adriel's blue eyes bore into mine with an intensity I had never seen before. His jaw clenched, and his fists tightened at his sides. It was as if he was trying to control a vortex of emotions swirling within him. He took a deep breath to calm his nerves and stepped forward.

"You can't leave, Rose!" he ordered, his voice thick with frustration and growing anger. "You're carrying my child, my heir, and it's my responsibility to ensure your safety and the child's well-being."
