Royal's POV

Before I knew it, the woman disappeared into a gust of wind and I screamed, "Ahhhh."

Startled by the sudden disappearance of the woman, I turned around to face the Alpha, confusion etched across my face. His urgent tone indicated that he knew something I didn't, and I strained to make sense of his warning. Without waiting any longer, I ran into his arms, forgetting that he almost threatened my kind.

"What... what just happened?" I stammered, my heart pounding in my chest.

The Alpha hugged me, his expression grave. "That woman, she's not to be trusted," he cautioned, his voice laced with concern. "She's a shape-shifting witch who preys on unsuspecting individuals. I've encountered her kind before. That's why we trapped her here and forbade anyone from coming here. She probably didn't hurt you because of your witch blood."
