Royals POV

My heart skipped a beat as I heard the unfamiliar voice in the background of the call. The words sent a shiver down my spine, and a knot of fear formed in the pit of my stomach.

Who was that? Why did their words sound so ominous? Why did it seem like the person held a grudge and waited for the Alpha's call just to warn me?

A wave of unease washed over me, overshadowing the brief moment of relief I had felt earlier. I clutched the phone tightly, my mind racing with questions and concern. The disconnection of the call only added to my apprehension, leaving me feeling stranded and vulnerable.
