Royal's POV

I dashed down the halls, going to the elevator.

On my way, I saw the figure of the Beta, and our eyes locked but I couldn't wait to see him and instead entered the elevator. I hurriedly pressed the button to the second floor.

The elevator doors closed with a soft hiss, enclosing me in a temporary sanctuary. My heart pounded in my chest, a mixture of excitement and anxiety coursing through my veins. The realization had hit me like a sudden storm— the cramps, the subtle ache, the telltale signs that my period had arrived unexpectedly.

As the elevator ascended, I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing thoughts. I knew that this was a natural occurrence, a monthly reminder of my body's intricate workings, but it couldn't have chosen a more inconvenient time.

The elevator doors slid open, and I stepped out onto the second floor, making my way toward my private room. The hallway was quiet, a stark contrast to the vibrant energy that filled the rest of the pack house.
