Daniel Anderson was in an on and off relationship of 5 years with Joyce Smith. A beautiful woman with all the qualities a guy would ever want. She was gorgeous, smart, sporty, adventurous and what not.

She was the fashionista of our highschool and always scored good grades. Her father was a rich man. But unfortunately he didn't really care for her as he was always busy with his work. Joyce wished that her father stopped worrying about the materialistic things and cared about her for once.

"Happiness is never found in materialistic things; It exists in things that cannot be physically possessed. Therefore happiness is priceless. It can never be purchased. Love is happiness" - Ellen J. Barrier

Sadly, I had a crush on Daniel but they both looked hot together. Basically, I was confused if I'm happy for him or if I want him. Well, I never really cared much.

Daniel was the crush of majority senior and junior female students whereas Joyce was the crush of majority senior and junior students as well as teachers.

Everybody knew they both were madly in love and were soulmates but... Everybody knew that they were each other's worst enemies at the same time.

She knew all his weak points and he knew hers, and whenever they got into an argument they never missed any chance to hit on the weak points.

---------------------------------

I couldn't stop myself and decided to walk towards him,

"He...."

He ignored me and started looking the other away. I slowly bought my hand down that I was waving at him.

"I wonder if he's fine" I thought to myself because I had never seen him being so rude.

My bus arrived and I sat with my best friend Jacqueline.

"I just saw Daniel Anderson. Looks like he's worried."

"Must be the same drama, "Joyce and Daniel have broken up." She giggled and mimicked one of the girl who announced every latest news to the entire highschool.

We reached our destination and moved towards our classes. I went to keep some books in my locker when I saw Joyce. Her eyes were swollen and it seemed like she had been crying all night without having any food.

I was curious about what had happened between these two so I decided to talk to Joyce and ask if everything's fine.

"Hey, how're you doing. Look like someone has been preparing for the exam all night. I mean you look really tired"

She looked at me and said:

"I will remember and recover, not forgive and forget."

She moved towards her class before I could even ask anything.

I didn't pay much attention but definitely felt that she needed someone to talk to.

I headed towards my classroom and got done with my exam. After my exam, I went to the bathroom where I saw Joyce yelling and crying while she talked on her phone.

"I DON'T FREAKING CARE! LEAVE ME ALONE JOHN!" She shouted and threw her phone on the floor.

Another girl named Samantha, who was our junior came out from the washroom and stared at me doubtfully. She thought that I was the reason why Joyce was angry.

I must admit that I got scared at that moment and decided to leave the bathroom as soon as possible.

John was the first person that became friends with Joyce when she entered highschool. They had been friends for years now.

John was one of the reasons why Daniel often got mad at Joyce. He said that he didn't like the interference of John in their relationship as her best friend. Infact, he seemed pretty jealous of him.

John often saved Joyce from the physical abuse by Daniel. At one hand everyone thought that John was an important and positive part of Joyce's life but at the other hand things seemed pretty awkward sometimes when they both hung out together being too close to each other.

John was also in an on and off relationship with a girl named Victoria who lived in his neighborhood. Victoria thought that Joyce was the only reason why John seemed less interested in her most of the times.

She often tried to insult Joyce but always got a "It's over" call from John whenever any such thing happened which broke her heart.

She genuinely loved John and hated Joyce. Infact she admitted that she would kill Joyce for John.

But the thing that made me curious that day was that why did she speak to John that way if he was her bestfriend.

I rushed out of the bathroom when our maths teacher stopped me and said.

"Hazel, are you alright? Seems like you're sweating."

"Yes... I.. I am Fine it was just a bit hot in the bathroom." I made a lame excuse and ran from there.

Jacqueline and I went to the waiting area where we waited for our bus when we saw Daniel hanging out with another senior named Demi.

Now I was sure why Joyce was so angry today.

I felt Joyce was just overreacting. I mean she had a male bestfriend and it was totally fine for Daniel to have female friends too.

"Ah. I wish he was single." Is that what you're thinking?" Jacqueline pinched me and spoke in a teasing way.

I smiled and said: "Nah.. He looks good with Joyce."

Our bus arrived but before we stepped forward we heard a strange noise. Everybody was shouting and our teachers were rushing the students out of the highschool. One one our teacher yelled.

"Somebody call 9-1-1!! Hurry up"

All off the students were rushed out of the highschool and the doors were shut. There was a huge crowd out there. We tried to go forward but couldn't.

"Do you know what happened inside?" Jacqueline asked one of the girl.

"I'm not sure. The teachers said it was an emergency and they rushed us out." She replied.

Soon the highschool was surrounded by 15 cop cars and they sealed the main door of the highschool.

"Don't let anybody leave until I allow you!" The cheif commanded the police officers.

We were so confused and didn't know what was going on.

I moved forward and saw that our teachers surrounded Samantha as she was crying and shivering.

"What did you exactly see?" One of our teachers enquired.

"Leave her alone please. We need to talk to her." The police chief said and took Samantha inside the building.
