6:30 AM in the morning and my alarm started to burst off beside my ear. I had to wake up early because of my finals. It's my first exam and I'm all prepared to pass this semester with flying colors and FINALLY get out of this boring school.
I jumped out of bed and rushed to the washroom to go and get prepared...
“You can do it Hazel, trust yourself! You can do it!” I comforted myself while brushing my teeth, mumbling some much-needed encouraging words.
I have been quite unfortunate with my experiences in life but I hope today is the day when I will break that pattern of misfortune.
I stood in front of the mirror and brushed my long shiny black hair. Instead of braids I decided on a ponytail. I checked myself and brushed off any invisible dust off my uniform. I applied tint over my rosy cheeks, and my favorite lip gloss on my beautiful plump lips. I was often complimented for my blue eyes which I got from my mom, but due to lack of sleep during exams I sadly ruined their beauty and gave myself huge eye bags under them.
I loved dressing up for no reason but just to please myself.
I wasn't a fan of the way I looked in my uniform, you can say I always felt quite uncomfortable with the way I looked in it. Moreover, I was tagged as the Fashionista of my family because I always followed new trends and wore trendy clothes. Well, who cares school is about to end anyways.
For now, I am wearing my perfectly ironed uniform that is a long sleeve button down collared white shirt with a red tie which is paired along with a black skirt that has white stripes on it and reaches just above my knees.
“I made sure that I had all my school supplies in my pink pouch.
“Pencil - check, eraser - check, scale – check, sharpener – check, pens – check. And ... we're good to go!” I hum satisfied and careened down the stairs
“Are you ready for your exam Hazel? I hope you have revised your chapters!” My mother inquired.
"Yes, Mama I am ready. I will make sure to revise all my chapters after I finish my breakfast!”
I had my favorite cookie, crisp chocolate cereal; in a few minutes I finished my breakfast peaceably.
I have been anxiously waiting for my English exam and been preparing with Jacqueline, who is my one and only best friend.
I never believed in true friendships until I met Jacqueline. She is one of a kind. A genuinely caring, loving, kind, supportive, and sometimes the person to give extremely idiotic advice. She has a crazy sense of humor that astonishes me sometimes.
She was a beautiful 16-year girl with a joyous personality. A glossy skin, Beautiful dark eyes with a lot of light in them. Long shiny hair that she styled in many different ways. She was multi-talented and a very ambitious girl.
She is the person that I can always count on. One day I got into an argument with my parents and cried myself to sleep. I couldn't catch up with all the updates on my social media accounts and obviously, I didn't check my phone all day. She got extremely worried and rushed to my home the other morning.
I was a very emotionally sensitive person, and such incidents would give me a very hard time and the worst anxiety. I was sleeping peacefully and my room was locked, I had no clue about how long I had been sleeping for as I took some pills to relax my anxiety. I heard some loud knocks on my door but I thought I was dreaming about it, when it was actually Jacqueline who was trying to burst into my room. I woke up from my deep sleep and ran towards the door.
“I’m coming! Calm down !!” I responded furiously
I opened the door with anger, but when I saw Jacqueline my anger got swept away and turned into tears. I couldn’t hold back my emotions when I saw Jacqueline standing in front of me. I hugged her like never before, she hugged me tightly and said:
“Don’t worry, I’m here now. Are you alright?” Her warm hug made me forget all my tension. Her kind words were like medicine to my pain.
I welcomed her into my room, we both sat and had our favorite cold coffee. She consoled me and said that such small things
shouldn’t affect me so much because my health can get worse by all this. She left my home in the evening.I checked my phone after she left and I had 50 text messages with 10 missed calls from Jacqueline. I couldn't believe that I have a person who genuinely cares for me. This was the day when I realized that Jacqueline is the person that I can call my true friend. I always had a small circle because I'm into quality not quantity. I'm extremely proud to have Jacqueline as my friend.
I don't trust a lot of people because I think that I will end up hurting my own sentiments because of them, but Jacqueline was a person whom I could trust blindly. Jacqueline and I discovered a lot of things together and actually had a lot of adventures in our school. I never thought life could be so much fun because of one person. I was the good girl who used to sit in one corner of the class who focused on getting good grades and was quiet most of the time.
But Jacqueline, she was a crazy soul who knew to have fun in any situation. She made my school days so much better. She often came over and we did combined studies. Studying with her was 10 times easier and fun. I personally believe that a person should study what he/she has complete interest in.
We both studied all day and night for our finals. Well, Hope our grades turn out good.

Hey guys, this is my first attempt to write a book, I’m looking forward for your kind comments,
I’ve worked rea“There are big ships and small ships, But the best ship of all is friendship” ~ Unknown. “I hope my daughter isn't stressed for today's exam.” Joshed (to engage in banter: joke) my father. “Nope! No stress this time, I’m super confident for this one, I’ll not let you down at any cost” “Well, I hope so honey, Because I’ve been hearing this for a long time now”, Said my father with a sarcastic laugh. I knew the reason behind my dad’s sarcastic laugh. Obviously, he had to laugh because, I had failed once when I was in my 6th standard but I’ll have to ignore my dad's sarcastic laugh as always. They say ... “A positive life requires a positive mentality” And I’ll stick to this quote for the rest of my life. I took out my books as I still had time, it was 7:30AM now, which means I still had half an hour left. While I was sitting, I heard my mother talking to someone, I peeped out from the door and guess who it was? My most sweetly annoying aunt! Aunt Annie. A woman about 56
Daniel Anderson was in an on and off relationship of 5 years with Joyce Smith. A beautiful woman with all the qualities a guy would ever want. She was gorgeous, smart, sporty, adventurous and what not.She was the fashionista of our highschool and always scored good grades. Her father was a rich man. But unfortunately he didn't really care for her as he was always busy with his work. Joyce wished that her father stopped worrying about the materialistic things and cared about her for once. Barrier Sadly, I had a crush on Daniel but they both looked hot together. Basically, I was confused if I'm happy for him or if I want him. Well, I never really cared much.Daniel was the crush of majority senior and junior female students whereas Joyce was the crush of majority senior and junior student
She stood up and walked with them. She looked at me in a strange way as she passed from beside me. Everyone seemed confused. We sat there for half an hour and later onwards saw a police officer coming out of the building. He came out and said,"Who is Hazel Keith?"I raised my hand. "Can you please come forward?" He said. "Me? Why?" I asked out of confusion. "There's been a murder inside this building of a girl named "Joyce Smith."I couldn't believe my ears. It felt like my heat was frozen as soon as i heard that. There was a pin drop silence in the ground and everybody looked at the police officer with extreme shock. "The witness says that she needs to speak to you." "Me...? Wh...y"? I shivered"No more questions Ma'am. Please step forward." The officer spoke angrily. I handed my bag to Jacqueline amd made a nervous eye contact with her. "Hurry up please!" The officer yelled and I walked along with him. I was in a state where I had 1000s of things going inside my mind. He
In the cold, unforgiving walls of the jail, my heart raced as I waited for my fate to unfold. The dimly lit cell seemed to constrict around me, its shadows casting eerie shapes that danced like specters. The cell door creaked open, and two stern-faced police officers entered.
