Chapter 29

Stella quickly got out of bed before foolish thoughts could take over her mind. She went straight to the bathroom and took a shower. Before she could finish, someone knocked on the door.

"Open the door, now!" Elizabeth demanded, pounding on the door.

"Liz, calm down and lower your voice." Sophie tried to restrain Elizabeth, worried that Ramon would hear.

Elizabeth stomped her foot, clearly annoyed. She was there because Charles wasn't in his room. She had even woken Sophie up so they could confront Stella together.

Stella stepped out of the bathroom just as Charles woke up. He looked at her with a puzzled expression. "What are you doing in my room?"

She rolled her eyes at Charles' question. It seemed his mind was still foggy, and he didn't remember what he did last night. "Next time, don't drink so much that you end up in the wrong room. Get up and open the door for your girlfriend before Grandpa hears her."
