POV: CALLIE

I shifted in bed, pulling the blanket over myself and curling up.

“Alpha...” I lowered my head in submission.

“Well? Answer me,” he said sharply, his tone impassive. “What did you see?”

“It was just a dream, Lycan King,” I lied, unsure of what I had really seen.

“Describe this dream,” the Alpha growled, his steps making the ground tremble as he approached.

I hesitated for a moment, nervous.

“It was something personal, Alpha,” I growled back at him.

“Then why did you wake up smelling of fear?” His warm breath brushed against my face. I pulled the blanket tighter around me, which made him laugh.

“Ah, little wolf, how do you manage to attract my wolf so much? What kind of magic is this?”

POV: CALLIEThe trees of the forest echoed with loud cracks, creating thunderous booms as they fell, signaling the approach of the Lycan King, consumed entirely by rage. I sniffed the moss, earthy, fresh, and slightly damp. Stopping to focus, I nudged my head against a hollow tree. Digging around its base, I felt the moss and began rubbing it against my fur, masking my scent.“I will find you, wolf!” the beast roared in the distance.“Goddess, please help me,” I whimpered, lifting my head and letting my tears mix with the rain. Though it dulled my senses, the rain provided the advantage of confusing scents.I felt his powerful presence behind me. The ground trembled with every clawed step the Alpha took through the forest floor. Branches cracked and shattered beneath him, and his growls grew more intense and feral.“If you wanted to be hunted, little wolf, you cou

POV: AARONSomething about her vision wasn’t clear. The information was accurate, but the blind wolf struggled, never truly understanding what she saw. We worked together to better outline her visions. Despite everything, she had easily agreed to collaborate. Even though Callie had endured torture and become a wary wolf, she carried Lycan blood—not just any wolf, but the blood of a powerful Alpha like Hunter. If she hadn’t awakened the power of the ancient bloodline, she would never have been able to defeat him!My intuition tells me she also possesses witch powers. Keenan, my trusted Beta, brought me vital information about her mother. Lyra belonged to the conclave of ancient witches, followers of the dark god Nocturnus, who had favored them in ancient wars before they discovered his true intentions.Nocturnus fed on corrupted souls, suffering, spilled blood, and chaos—a devoured of light. When the witches rea

POV: AARONWithout thinking, my wolf propelled us into the water, desperately searching for her. I fought against the current, looking around frantically, trying to find her. I spotted the water carrying her toward the waterfall. I kicked my arms and legs forcefully, swimming in her direction, but the river was relentless and faster than me. Before I could reach her, her body was swept over the falls.Fighting fiercely against the current, I grabbed onto a massive rock at the edge of the waterfall, pulling myself onto it and scanning below for any sign of her. I leapt into the forest, shifting midair, and ran along the riverbank, sniffing desperately for any trace of my little wolf.I roared in fury:“Idiot, fool... How could you not see it?” I bellowed as I ran, following the river in search of Callie. “The Goddess sent you to her to protect her, DAMN IT!”I growled, shifting into m

I glanced at the remaining Alphas, who looked back at me, equally perplexed.“Who is the deity referring to?” Jaxon asked, confused.“I don’t know, but I believe we’ll find out soon,” I growled, putting him in his place and pushing him away from the center of the circle. “Unless you want to become part of the sacrifice, I suggest you step back.”Nodding, the Beta quickly retreated. I turned to the trembling she-wolves on the ground, huddled together, crying and pleading:“Please, Alpha, don’t kill us… We’ll serve you faithfully, please,” begged the eldest of the group, shielding the others.

POV: CALLIEI woke up in the dark, feeling a sharp, pounding pain in my head. I touched the spot where it seemed to hurt, wincing at the sting of what felt like a cut. A strange smell lingered in the air, and a weight pressing down on my body made it hard to breathe. Something was touching me intimately. I growled threateningly, startled by the sound that came from me.“Who’s there?” I pushed hard against whatever was on top of me.“Callie? So you’re awake?” A smug growl came from nearby.“Callie?” I asked, confused, forcing my body to sit up. “Why are the lights off?”A silence fell over the room before a mocking laugh exploded, filling the foul-smelling space.“That’s a good one—you’re blind, remember?” The man’s voice vibrated with mockery as he grabbed my elbow tightly. &ldq

Where was he with help?Tears continued streaming down, washing over my face. Why did I feel so empty? Once again, his image came crashing into my mind—those intense eyes filled with surprise and shock, that gaze, that aura...“Love...” A whisper echoed in the darkness surrounding me.“Love?” I murmured, instinctively touching my lower abdomen, where a faint but rapid heartbeat pulsed. “What is this?”“Protect it!&

Augie had done something to bring me here, but why would she hide the location even from a friend?“None of this makes sense...” I muttered, shaking my head in frustration, growling as I felt the pain in my ribs. “Alright, Wolf, either you fix me, or it won’t be possible to find her!”A growl rang from my chest, partially closing my wounds.“Is this your way of negotiating?” I roll my eyes in annoyance. “Fine.”I walked into the city, and the wolves around widened their eyes in surprise. Soon, Jaxon came running toward me.“King Lycan, we were worried. I sent a team of trackers to locate you, but your scent had disappeared,” the Beta said urgently, sniffing in my direction and frowning. “Are you injured?”The wolves nearb

POV: DANTEI threw the witch down the stairs, ordering her to heal the useless blind wolf. I needed to understand what my God wanted with her. Waiting upstairs, I extended my claws, slicing deeply across my wrist in a straight line. With the blood, I formed the symbol on the floor and let my hands fall to my sides, closing my eyes as I invoked him:“Nocturnus, sovereign deity of worlds, your loyal servant, calls upon you. Illuminate my mind regarding your divine gift and guide me to serve you better until you complete victory!”I felt the infernal heat of his green flames and opened my eyes, seeing his spectral form floating before me. He resembled a feral, undefined wolf with black fur and long, shaggy arms that covered his head and parts of his face. His claws were enormous, and his ears were sharply pointed. His oppressive and malevolent power was overwhelming, and I reveled in the magnitude of his aura.

POV: CALLIEI explored the cave we were in, sniffing around to make sure there was no danger. I followed the sound of water, dipping my hand in and feeling its comfortable, inviting temperature.“Yulli?” I called, but the witch seemed unconscious, having used the last of her strength to partially heal the poison that the Dark God had spread through my body.I slid out of my clothes, stepping into the water, feeling its gentle caress against my skin. I scrubbed my body, desperate to rid myself of the scent of Dante and Nocturnus. The darkness that clung to them was repulsive. I needed to figure out what to do next—the Supreme Alpha was the father of my child, the same man from my dreams, seemingly my destined mate. But why did I want to run from him? Why did I feel the need to escape? Aaron wasn’t like the man in my dreams. Had I simply idealized him?“So many ques

If they are found guilty of treason, I will judge and punish them personally.”“But, Lycan King, we didn’t do any.” The prisoner started to speak, but immediately fell silent when my fierce eyes locked onto him.“Please, Alpha, you can’t possibly believe my son is a traitor… This she-wolf disappeared for days and suddenly shows up with these accusations!” the elder pleaded, glaring at Kemilly, who growled threateningly.“Kemilly left under my command. She has served me for years and was once even considered for Luna. Show some respect, elder.” I growled,

POV: CALLIE“How did you manage to break free?” I asked the witch, alarmed.“I’m not an ordinary sorceress. Besides, Dante isn’t as smart as he thinks. The mana stone that repels magic needs to be bathed in pure cave water to maintain its power. I guess he doesn’t know that.” She let out a soft laugh. “And he wanted to become the Supreme Alpha with such foolishness.”“Yulli, why are you helping me? You know you’re putting yourself at risk… You could escape without me. I’m blind…” I sighed. “I’ll only slow you down!”“Why do you think I’m here?” The sorceress gently touched my hand, and I felt the chains vibrate as they unlocked. “The ancestors sent me to you. Besides, it’s my friend’s child you’re carrying. I can’t ignore that and abandon you.”&

My inner beast roared for his mate, yet whenever we were physically together, he became fierce and defensive toward her.“Why is your wolf rejecting me?” she asked, confused, lowering her head, sadness in her voice.“I don’t understand, Lycan King. I thought you wanted me. Did I misunderstand?”Something about the way she spoke felt off, but I still didn’t know what h

He actually seems to like this blind she-wolf.”I ran my hands through my hair, stepping in front of the mirror.Despite the magic and my identical appearance to Callie, I could see. Those who looked at me, however, only saw blind eyes, unable to perceive the magical veil cloaking my face, shaping it into that of the insignificant little wolf.“Enjoying your new look?”Jaxon entered the room, laughing.“You look even better like this!”“Go to hell, Beta!” I growled, irritated, glaring at him through the mirror’s reflection.“What do you want? POV: CALLIEShe felt his back against her as she hugged him from behind, fearful of losing this sense of security—even if only in a dream. Her mind raced through the next steps, thinking of how to return to the Alpha.I nibbled lightly on his back, making him sigh, then trailed kisses upward, inhaling his addictive, woody scent. My nails glided over his shoulders and arms in slow, rhythmic strokes.“I still can’t give you the answers you want, but please, Alpha... Here, at least, can we just be you and me?”Aaron turned, cupping my face with his open palm. I let my head rest against him, closing my eyes to absorb his warmth.“Please...”His hand slid to the nape of my neck, pulling me forward, guiding my body onto his. He bit my stomach and ran his tongue along my hip, slowly moving inward as I sank down onto his length, inch by inch.

Why won’t you talk to me outside this dream?”“The followers of that so-called god, Nocturnus.”The moment I mentioned his name, sharp, needle-like pain pierced my mind. I groaned in agony, my legs giving out beneath me before I collapsed—only to be caught by the striking man in front of me.“The person who came to you isn’t...”I screamed as the pain became unbearable, a violent sensation rising in my stomach. I brought your prisoner back.”I stepped closer, sniffing in her direction. Though her scent had familiar traces, something about it felt off. However, the same had happened in my dream.“Callie?” I called. She kept her head down in silence.“Why isn’t she speaking?”“I couldn’t say, Alpha. Even when I captured her, she didn’t utter a single word,” the Beta responded curtly, staring at her. “Maybe she has nothing to say.”“Release her chains!” I ordered, irritated at seeing her in tha

I managed to repel it, but I think there were side effects.”“Bring a stretcher here, now!” Ryan shouted, issuing a command. “I’m going to take care of you.”“I don’t need a stretcher; just examine the wounded area. It’s healed, but there are dark bruises around it.” I sighed, hearing my inner beast protesting. “Something is disturbing my wolf.”“Come with
