Chapter 5-Anger

“Still no news?” Charles asked Roy impatiently.

“Sorry, sir, I’ve checked all the hotels, even small apartments, but she’s not there.”

Charles angrily let go of the pen he was holding and gave the staff a bad look. “Don’t you have any other way to find her and bring her back to the house?”

Roy bowed his head. When the tone of the young man’s voice rose to such an extent, he obviously lost patience. He wants Stella to return to the house he gave her before his grandfather arrived.

“Get out!” he yelled at the staff again when he couldn’t answer him right.

A few days passed and he couldn’t contact Stella. What makes him angry is that she just took the money but did not follow one of the agreements in the deed. Attached to that is that Stella still needed to show up to the old man and help him convince his grandfather that they parted amicably. And he got a divorce without a third wheel to intervene.

Charles fell into deep thought and wondered where Stella could go. He wanted to blame himself now, and he didn’t find out about the girl’s other family background. He didn’t even know if she had any relatives and where she was from.

“Why do I worry about her? The man he replaced me with seems to be rich, so she won’t just live on the street,” he indulges in his own will.

“But you don’t have enough evidence that it’s her man in the picture,” against a part of his mind.

Charles blew air out of his mouth violently and chastised himself for having divided beliefs. He even washed his face with his palm when the expression registered on Stella’s face returned to his memory. Sadness, joy and surrender were visible on her face.

“I love you, please give me a chance to prove to you that I married you because of love.”

He clenched his fist on the table and remembered his ex-wife’s plea to him again. He does not believe that love is the reason why she married him. Stella became his grandfather’s nurse then, and she used the old man’s kindness to choose her to marry him.

When he first met the girl, he also liked her attitude. Caring for his grandfather and considerate. She also knew that he had a girlfriend and that he often used to go with her when visiting his grandfather who was in the hospital. But Stella still asked the old man to choose her to marry him. His spirit was roused from looking back when someone knocked on the door.

“Sir, Ms. Elizabeth is outside,” informed by his secretary.

He nodded to the secretary. He needed something else to distract his mind right now, and he thought of his ex-girlfriend.

“Babe, I miss you!” Elizabeth immediately sat on her boyfriend’s lap and, without hesitation, kissed him on the lips.

At first, Charles just let the girl kiss him on the lips. But when she started to deepen the kiss, the sad face of his ex-wife suddenly appeared in his mind.

“Why?” she asked the young man in surprise when he suddenly turned his face away from her.

“I’m busy, do you need anything?”

Elizabeth frowned at her boyfriend’s sudden coldness. She thought he would have more time with her now that Stella was gone. But the opposite happened.

“Grandpa is coming the next day. Don’t go home, and he won’t know you’re back.”

Elizabeth frowned and stormed off from sitting on her boyfriend’s lap. The old man has always been an obstacle to their love. She should have been happy when he got sick. She thought he was going to die, but it turned out his life to be longer.

“I still haven’t found Stella and I don’t want Grandpa to think you’re the reason we broke up.”

Elizabeth smiled, and the young man was still concerned about her. He just didn’t want the old man to look bad against him even more. She moved behind him and hugged him from there. Her chin rested between his shoulder and neck before whispering. “Grandpa isn’t here yet, so we still have time.”

Charles closed his eyes tightly and let the girl seduce him. But he was very disappointed in himself, and he didn’t feel like he was used to every time she was seducing him.

“Where’s Stella?” Ramon immediately looked for the woman after seeing his grandchildren who picked him up at the airport.

Sophie looked at her brother and she couldn’t speak or lead him.

“We’ll talk at home, Grandpa.” Charles pushed the wheelchair that his grandpa sits on.

Ramon’s hunch is not good, especially and his grandson is quiet. Only the two of them picked him up, and it was a miracle that Magda was not there. “I want to share the meal with Stella, so we’re going to your house.”

Charles nodded to the driver and granted what his grandfather wanted. He called their doctor and sent him there as well. He wants a doctor to look at him and maybe his blood pressure will rise when he finds out about his breakup with Stella.

Sophie felt bad for her grandpa, and it looks like Stella is the only one he misses. So she was annoyed with that woman because it seemed like she was the grandchild of the old man and not hers.

Arriving at the house, Ramon entered the house smiling. He was only able to visit her today because he was abroad when the couple moved house. But he was very disappointed when the maid greeted him instead of Stella. He had a bad hunch but he calmed down.

“Grandpa, take a rest,” said Charles, and pushed the seat back.

“No, tell me the truth!” He looked sharply at Charles.

Charles sighed and adjusted his grandpa’s seat in the living room. He estimated his condition first.

“Grandpa, it’s not my brother’s fault why they broke up. There is also evidence that she has another man!”

Charles shot his sister a sharp look to take the lead in speaking. She immediately closed her mouth and bowed her head.

Ramon was furious when he looked at his young grandson. He did not believe what he heard and waited for him to explain.

“Grandpa, it’s been three years. You know one of our agreements.”

The old man’s lips remained closed tightly, and he tried to calm himself down. He doesn’t want to be weak again because his grandchildren need him more now. That’s right, it was only three years before they agreed to be together. But he didn’t think that Stella wouldn’t get pregnant, especially, and they separated from the house. He thought that his grandson had fallen in love with the girl and that there would be no divorce.

“I’m sorry if you didn’t wait longer. I didn’t abandon her and made sure she wouldn’t suffer even though we were separated.”

“Is this house the same as the one you gave to her?”

Charles was surprised, and his grandfather became calm when asking. He nodded in response to his question.

“And he hasn’t been here since you divorced, right?”

“I’m looking for her, so you can talk.”

Ramon grinned and shook his head. “Don’t expect to see her again and let her live in this house.”

Charles was stunned by what the old man said. He didn’t know, but it was as if something kicked in his chest with the knowledge that Stella would never be seen again.

“I want to rest.” He signaled his nurse to push his wheelchair.

Sophie’s gaze followed her grandpa with her open mouth. What she expected was for him to yell at her brother or hit him with whatever he was holding. When she looked at her brother, he also seemed to have be confused about their grandfather.

After a few minutes, Charles turned to their doctor. “Look at Grandpa’s health.”

The doctor quietly turned his back and followed the old man into the room.

Then, I’ll be back when the agreed time comes.” Lauro stared at his grandson’s face. The boy is handsome and has a sharp nose. It doesn’t seem like the kid got anything from their blood. He loved his only child, so he gave her everything she wanted. His only mistake was letting her live on her own then. You can visit us there often.” Lauro nodded with a smile before kissing his sleeping grandson on the forehead. He is happy for his daughter because she has someone to be with her until old age. And who are you talking to?” Fausto asked his granddaughter. Stella cried even more and could hardly open her mouth. She opened her mouth several times but no words came out. “Stella, tell me what happened?” Fausto yelled at his granddaughter and was agitated to see her tears. “Grandpa, Daddy is…” Fausto’s jaw dropped and his shoulders slowly slumped. He shook his head while not taking his eyes off his crying granddaughter. “Daddy is gone, grandpa!” She was sobbing.Fausto quickly approached his granddaughter and hugged her tightly. Suddenly, his heart went numb and he couldn’t cry. “Grandpa, what am I going to do now that Daddy is gone? Why is this happening? I was just talking to him, and he was on his way here.” Even her shoulders were shaking from crying. What happened was sudden and she couldn’t accept it. “I’ll go home

Elizabeth and Sophie are excited to meet at a branded clothing shop. First, they forgot about finding Stella. Their priority right now is buying a nice dress for the event they will be attending next week. “Do you think she could be our friend?” Sophie asked her friend. “Of course, with this beauty of ours, why couldn’t we? When she becomes our friend, there will definitely be many who will be jealous of us.” Elizabeth’s chest heaved and winked at her friend. What was trending on the news today was all about the granddaughter of the richest business person, not only in their country but abroad as well. It was also in the news that a woman was being choosy towards a friend and was rude.Stella stopped choosing a dress when she heard the two women talking. She knew they were talking about her. The two voices were familiar to her, so she listened to them. She had just returned to the Philippines, but no one else knew except her grandfather. “Miss, are you going to buy it?” the salesl

At first glance, the manager immediately knew that her staff had judged the wrong person. She gave the staff an angry look before approaching the plainly dressed woman. “Ma’am, I’m sorry for what my staff did.” Sophie and Elizabeth were even more surprised because of what the manager was doing. “Hey, what are you doing? Do you know that that woman did not only do something bad to your staff?” Sophie said to the manager. The manager looked at the two women for a moment. Suddenly, she doubted what to do next. She needs to prioritize good customers because business is business.Stella extended her hand in front of Alex and he immediately gave her the gold card. “You can watch the surveillance camera footage, so you can find out who is really at fault here.”“Huh, you’re really arrogant! Who are you proud of, that old man you’re in love with?” Elizabeth asked Stella insultingly. A corner of Stella’s lips lifted and she shook her head. “Useless! How can you not trace where she is? It’s clear that she’s just around the corner and hasn’t left the country!” Charles angrily slammed the folder he was holding on the table. Sophie, who was quiet inside her brother’s office, was shocked by her brother’s anger. “Sorry, sir, but even her clothing purchase record is not available.” Roy’s head was bowed and nervous. Charles hit the table again with his fist out of anger.“Brother, I think that the person whom Stella traded you to has a bigger connection. Perhaps she also changed her name to hide her background from the family of the person who she traded you.”Charles’ eyes was still sharp when he looked back at his sister. His sister may be right and his ego cannot accept that. He felt that his ex-wife had cheated on him and made a fool of him. No wonder when she signed the divorce papers. Perhaps the woman had been preparing for their separation for a long time. “She will definitely attend the event, brother.”Charles’ ey

You need to focus now on how to face them all and show you’re not weak!” She smiled sparingly at her grandfather. “I promised that I would not oppose your decisions in my life.”Fausto smiled again. It seemed that his granddaughter had learned to fight alone because of her experience in life. He should be thanking whoever impregnated her granddaughter.“Grandpa, as much as possible, I don’t want anyone else to know about my son.” Fausto nodded, he didn’t want others to meet his great-grandchild so far, especially since he was a boy. Diana looked at the woman staring at them. When their eyes met, surprise appeared on her face. “Stella?”Stella didn’t wonder if the woman was surprised to see her. Well, she didn’t know her true personality, so she would definitely wonder why she was there and on that floor. She was about to step closer to the woman when the man she was talking to suddenly turned towards her. Earlier, Diana was the only one who was surprised to see her. Now, she was the one who was shocked when she saw the man. Charles frowned when he recognized the woman he was looking at. What he thought earlier was just a mishearing of the name Diana mentioned. He didn’t think that he would find his ex-wife, whom he had been looking for a long time, in that company alone.“Gosh, it’s you, Stella!” Diana exclaimed exasperatedly and quickly approached the woman. “What are you doing here? I mean, since when have you been an employee here at our company?” Stella wanted to roll her eyes, but she stopped herself. She

Stella lost the will to go to the conference room. She also had a sudden headache, so she decided to leave. Alex quickly approached the girl and helped her get to the elevator. Charles clenched his fist when he saw the man with Stella. In that case, the same man was accompanied by his ex-wife. The man seems to have a connection to this company, so they are there. After getting off the elevator, the two faced him. Both of them gave each other a cold look before the elevator closed.“Are you all right, ma’am?” Alex asked the girl. “Let’s go straight to my son,” she whispered to Alex. The man did not ask any more questions and followed what the girl ordered. In the mansion, Fausto is restless while waiting for his assistant to call. He waited another twenty minutes until the phone rang. “Sir, I’m sorry if I called you just now.

She was wearing a simple white dress. When she looked at Denise, it looked like she was the one going to get married and was clinging to Mauro’s arm. She is still enjoying the taste of the mango juice. She anchored on Meashelle’s arm, and when they were close to Mauro and Denise, they hurriedly past them.“Where are you going?” Mauro asked Diana sternly.“Going home.” She answered the young man in a muffled way because her mouth was still full and she didn’t bother to look at him.Mauro quickly chased after t
