Chapter 36-Guilt-Tripping

She laughed and put the cellphone in the pocket of the shorts she was wearing. She had no intention of having any contact with Charles.

“Never mind, I’ll just ask your grandfather for your contact number.”

She quickly blocked Charles’ path when he stepped forward. “Fine!” She was forced to hand over the cellphone.

A corner of Charles’ lips lifted slightly, and he immediately took the girl’s cellphone. After typing his own number, he saved it immediately before dialing.

Stella folded her arms, and the man was really wise. He even called his own number to make sure he got her contact information.

After returning the girl’s cellphone, he put one hand in his pocket. “Say goodbye to your grandfather, and we’ll be leaving.”

She quickly backed away from the young man. “I won’t go with you, so leave. Even if you don’t follow me, I will visit Grandpa.”

“I promised Grandpa that I’d be with you when I got home,” Charles said firmly.
