49 A million apologies

Sara clenched her jaw and glared at his retreating back feeling the strong urge to hurl something at him. She tugged at the cuffs huffing when it didn’t bulge. “Adrain you can’t leave me like this.”

He chuckled but didn’t look back at her and she groaned whimpering when the cuffs cut her flesh. She cried in pain when she tugged her skin free and leaned closer to massage the spot. This action only caused the cuffs to tighten around her wrists.

He looked up then and frowned looking at her hands and then at her face. “I have told you it is useless to keep protesting, you can’t get away from me.”

Did he want an apology? Is that why he was doing this? Sara admitted she did owe him a lot after he saved her life tonight not once but twice with that cooked up story, he told his father just to spare her neck. Would he uncuff her if she apologized sincerely? It was worth the shot.
