Sara ran into a tree and groaned at the impact against her head. She moaned as her foot got stuck in a branch and pulled it out ignoring the stab of pain that shot up her body. “I need to go, I can’t stay here.” She muttered to herself as she ran. Her goal was to keep as much distance between herself and Adrain, he couldn’t find her; he just couldn’t.

She didn’t want to go back to that house, she couldn’t go back to that life. All the punishments, the insults, the disrespect, it was all too much. She had to find where she belonged and it obviously wasn’t here.

“Sara? Sara be careful it’s too dangerous. Please come back here.” Adrain’s voice reached her ears and she increased her pace, her legs barely touching the ground. He was getting closer and soon he would take her back..no!

She ran even faster, her beating wildly in her chest.

“Sara, Sara be careful this place is unsafe.” His voice called out to her again and she increased her pace.
