Hey guys! So we're closing in on the end of the story, and as you can see, Carolynn only plays for one team and that's herself. She's betrayed one too many people for her daughter, or is it really about the daughter? Also, Miranda is not human, and yet who is the father? It's obviously not Geoffrey. So who could it be? Let me know by SUBSCRIBING, COMMENTING, AND SHARING! Lots of ❤❤❤ -Tania.
Narrator-Alpha Asher backed away from the handmade crib, and stood at a distance with his arms crossed, as he admired his handiwork. The crib was painted white, the wood itself included carved images of wolves, stars, and the different phases of the moon. Asher smiled proudly, as he looked around the room decorated with shades of blue and yellow. The furnished space had everything necessary for a nursery, plush toys sat atop every furniture, and a mobile spun above the crib, with tiny wolves, moons, and pine trees. There was a nursing chair sitting in the corner next to the crib. There was also a small shelf, packed with books and bedtime stories.Aside from the child-friendly decorations, there were also photographs of the Alpha and Luna. The Luna's pregnancy shots were also displayed, as well as that of the Luna and Alpha in wolf form, near the lake that bordered the pack on the north end. The room was kept warm, the lights soft. Everything a baby needs to feel comfortable. Asher pl
Narrator-*6 Months Later*Miranda exited the yellow cab, as the driver, an elderly gentleman wearing a gray patterned flat cap, opened the trunk to retrieve the two small luggage that Miranda carried on her trip.Lacing the duffel back across her back, Miranda took the crumpled forty dollars cash she had stuffed in her back pocket, and handing it to the driver with a small, "Thanks."The driver nodded in her direction with a smile, then he hopped back into the car, and drove away. Miranda sighed, looking at the receding cab, before turning her eyes back to the small white cottage-like home that belonged to her aunt. The front was painted white, with two large windows, adorned by red and yellow flowers that were planted in the bed below the windowsill. Grabbing her luggage, Miranda began heading towards the front door. The front yard had green grass, along with various plants placed around the yard, surrounded by large beige rocks. There was a coconut tree growing near the far-right co
Narrator-Miranda opened the two-door 1978 Mint Green Beetle, the driver's door squeaking at it's hinges, as if the underlying rust surrounding it's frame wasn't enough to display it's vintage years. At the sound, Miranda winced internally. She sent a quick look towards her aunt, who seemed more excited than Miranda, then towards the Mechanic, who's furrowed brow told Miranda that parting with this car wasn't easy. Miranda carefully lowered herself into the beige-colored fabric seat, and instantly sighed in comfort. She turned her legs into the vehicle, then she closed the door.Noticing that the young girl was settled in the car, Bill the mechanic walked around to the passenger's side where he opened the door with the aim of entering the car as well."Not so fast Bill," Aunt May spoke up, "take the backseat," she continued, "if you're taking this car for a test drive, I want to be there too."Bill opened his mouth to protest, but then paused. Miranda tried to hide her smile behind her
Miranda- I approached the car with a smile and instantly recognized the giddy grin on Jamie's lips. "Nanda, can I call you Nanda?" Was how Jamie greeted me as soon as I entered her white Jeep Wrangler. "Uh sure." I giggled slightly. "Cool," she pepped, "Nanda you look great! I think you'll fit right into the scene. No one will notice that you're new." "Fresh meat, you mean?" I echoed her words from earlier. "Well, now that you mention it, it may not be hard to see that you are a bit... different." Jamie stated hesitantly, her vision looking my way for a brief second, before focusing back on the road ahead. "Different how? I mean everyone will mostly be young, the only difference is that they stay up until the sunrise, when usually I'd be asleep." I imagined and Jamie released a short laugh. "Well, that may not be the only thing that sets you apart from the rest." She replied after her laughter died down. "Do I want to know...?" I trailed off, my fingers finding interest in eac
Asher- Joshua drove us to Georgie's and when we arrived, the place was already swarming with vampires and their feedbags. Most of the vampires who could afford a human slave had a warm body clinging onto their arms. We exited the car, and as soon as we began approaching the doors, the smell hit me, and the nausea shot a ball of bile up my throat. The stuffy odor of death, cold, mud and rotting leaves entered my nostrils, and made my stomach unsteady with queasiness. We walked up to the bouncers at the front, and as soon as they saw me, they stepped aside. Their sunken orbits looked my way with disgust, but I knew that they weren't brave enough to even hiss in my direction. So I smirked and walked passed them. We entered the building, and everyone took notice, like I expected them to. They parted and cleared the way to a booth area, where I noticed some of the other wolves hung about. We walked through the personal, custom-made path, and no one moved until me, Joshua and Deidran were
Miranda- Eyes. Gold-tinged pupils staring me down. I was helpless. He was growling. I was running. He was chasing after me. I ran blindly through the large pine trunks in the foggy forest. I could hear the thundering of wolf paws on the ground behind me. Mine...! I heard his voice claim. I felt like I was screaming, and yet not even a meek squeak sounded from my burning vocal cords. Mine! I heard him again. I looked behind me, and the wolf was gone. I turned back around and there he was. His golden vision staring me down. I crashed into his chest. His hands fell on my shoulders. His palms burned my skin, but it felt good. His sun-like orbs penetrated my dull brown ones, and he smiled. His canine teeth were sharp, but they were not straight like Jamie's or Georgie's. No, they were slightly dented with one longer fang, accompanied by a smaller one. He was a different creature. He pressed my form against his, and he lowered his face until it was directly above mine. His eyes. I
Narrator-The phone rang endlessly against Miranda's temple. She nibbled on her already shortened fingernails, while the vibrating sound of her unanswered call continued to thrum through the tissue of her eardrum.Miranda swallowed a gulp while her index finger escaped her lips only to be replaced by the leftmost corner of her ring finger. The taste of faded sweat salt and the slight sour tang of the skin cells filled her tongue, while her anxiety grew with every unanswered ring. The nibbling of her cuticles did not seize until a loud beep indicating the voicemail pierced Miranda's skull. Miranda quickly ended the call then plopped the device on her mattress. Then turning on her back, Miranda laid down. While staring at the grey tin ceiling of her shed-home, Miranda's mind began slipping along the images stored in her memory box, where sequences of the previous night performed on replay and with each repeat, Miranda seem to gain another piece of the puzzle of the night before. Narrator- While the apprised aunt and her oblivious niece shared lunch, across town in Georgie's lounge, the bar owner received an unexpected guest. The assassin snuck her way into the building and prepared to catch George off guard. But before she could make her final move, her plan was exposed. "I know it's you, Elaine." George spoke, while he saw to organizing the bar. Elaine, a tall, pale-skinned woman with long raven black hair and aqua blue globes suddenly dropped behind George. She wore all leather clothing, her lips painted blood red. "Georgie." she greeted with a traitorous smile. "And to what do I owe this pleasure?" George kept his voice neutral but continued on with his task. "Now, now is that any way to treat the daughter of the Mayor? Not to mention an old friend?" Elaine questioned with a cock of her head. George sighed and stood straight. He turned and faced Elaine who smiled her pearly white teeth along with her fangs. "That's better." She mused. "Why are you
Narrator-George wiped a hand over his mouth, while the SUV continued to travel and rev through the dark forest.Deer jumped out of the way to avoid being hit by the unusual loud and speeding machine. Rabbits and nocturnal creatures all scurried out of the way to avoid becoming roadkill of the Alpha's rushed and maniacal driving skills. The motor's roaring and the bright headlights served as warning for all other traffic in the woods to cease and escape the large approaching vehicle."Neither May nor I have been entirely honest about who Miranda is." George began, while his pulse accelerated as if his brain was pressing the gas pedal on his pressures, and the adrenaline in his veins served as fuel for his pumping motor."Meaning?" Asher demanded while sending George a side glance before focusing back on the road. The Alpha's teeth were gritted, as if his white knuckles currently choking the wheel were not enough, and his teeth served as a secondary clamp to hold the balance on his emo
Narrator-The midnight moon shone it's silver light unto the sleeping towns below, like a lighthouse's trustworthy signal. It penetrated the darkest alleys and exposed the textured rooftops from one street to the other. Beneath the blanket of this heavenly spotlight, Damien's mansion opened its doors, and from inside the red brick, cold building, poured out many angels of the night. Lanky shadows moved swiftly from one branch to another. Bare feet mutely scaled rooftops and squashed flower gardens, as pale figures spread out through the forest, the haste in their skinny limbs exaggerating their determination to succeed in the mission assigned by their master.Underneath the trustworthy light of the extraterrestrial moon, Aunt May and Ben cuddled together in bed. The hunter squeezed his voluptuous mate in his arms while lying on his back with his eyelids closed. The bounty hunter breathed silently through his nostrils, his even and soft breath sounds a source of comfort for his lifelo
Narrator-Evening soon fell, and Alpha Asher called Joshua to ensure that Miranda was doing well. After confirming that his human mate had eaten and was preparing for her nightly rest, the Alpha ended the call and he too prepared for bed.In town, Violet was completing her last call of the day."Do you know what I want you to do for me?" Violet asked, her voice sultry and seductive.A breathy bass answered her across the cellular device."I want you to imagine I'm right next to you, can you do that?" Violet baited."What are you wearing?" The gruff voice said.It was enough to have Violet's spine line with itchy bumps, but she suppressed the urge to gag given that plump Herbert was one of her highest paying customers."Nothing." Violet whispered, and the fat, greasy man groaned across the phone."Is it working?" Violet posed after forcing herself to listen to three counts of Herbert's breathy sighs. She heard him gulp before he gave his answer.Violet grinned. Another satisfied custom
Narrator-The basement was a cold brick room. Water beads formed along the lining of the cement between the red rocks, even though the air was frigid enough to draw bumps from the pores of the various bodies which occupied the space.Soft breath sounds filled the red, dark, frigid place. Intermittent sighs and mute hums also erupted here and there. Heads hung on chests and limp necks. Abdominal muscles stretched and relaxed to display every live inhale and exhale. Fingers twitched in the dark, muscles spasmed, as the room full of various creatures remained silent and frozen. The sound of clinking chain links crashing against each other and rubbing on the asphalt is what brought Violet to as she drew in a harsh gasp through the muscles of her dry vocal cords. The human girl blinked groggily. Her vision blurry as if a foggy film had been plastered against her olive-green domes. There was a ringing in her middle ears, and a sharp headache sparking at the base of her brain stem. She groan
Narrator-"Well?" George pushed when Violet spent too long in silence. The human girl licked her lips, and sighed, then she looked back at George and expressed, "No."George stared at Violet, and she did the same through her lashes. The vampire drew in a breath and pulled even closer to her, then he grabbed her chin and forced her to keep her focus on his gaze. Then he looked at her lips then back in her eyes."Liar." He spat out earning a slight tremor of fear which rushed through Violet's physique while she was in his hold. Then he let go of Violet and walked to the other side of the bed where he climbed on and laid on his back with his hands folded over his lower abdomen.Violet's pupils looked at the alarm clock. It was only 4:15 AM. She still had two hours to sleep. Not caring much for her current situation and wanting nothing more than to please her sleepy eyes, Violet pulled back her sheets and climbed back into her bed. Turning her back on the vampire, she pulled the bedding a
Narrator-Elaine remained in her seated position, she casually leaned her chin on her right palm, while her elbow rested on the bar. There was a small smile quirking at the corners of her lips.Dillon still remained against the wall by the door. He weighed his shape on both his feet, and yet he still didn't experience the ache of the pressure on his knees or the bones of his lower legs.George sent a side eye to the plate meant for Carolynn and thought of the food running cold. But he wouldn't let Elaine throw him off his focus. So drawing in a deep sigh, George looked back at the smirking huntress and said in a bored tone, "tell Damien that she's not here.""But that would be a lie." Elaine commented in return."Or if he wants to talk, he can have the meeting here." George bargained.Elaine crinkled her nose and hummed before shaking her head softly, "you know that's not going to happen.""I can't help you Elaine." George shrugged."I can kill you in the blink of an eye George," Elai
Narrator-George exited the square shower, leaving Violet a freezing, shaking and broken human against the wall.Violet squeaked when her throat tried to sob and yet her salt-lined lips were sealed shut. She untied the towel only to re-secure it over her breasts. Her skin was covered in tiny bumps. She watched as George walked out of the bathroom and waited until he closed the door, before tears of both fear and the feeling of being used began to spill from her eyes, as her chin shook softly, and her chest panted.Violet faced the wall and closed her eyelids while leaning her head against the cold tiles. She sobbed quietly and pressed a hand against her mouth before sniffling. She couldn't believe what her life was like now. Being the victim of a vampire?Working as an at home call girl, her job only consisted of answering the phone calls of lonely men and telling them things to help them gain confidence in their testosterone. She lived alone and has never had a sexual partner. She ru
Narrator-Miranda wrapped her arms around Asher's neck again and pushed herself even more against him to deepen the kiss. The pushback was strong enough to have Asher's spine connecting with the door. The Alpha smiled at the girl's bravery, then with one huff, while still kissing her, he turned their bodies around and pinned Miranda's back to the door. He then removed her hands from around his neck and held her wrists against the wooden barricade with his large palms.Asher then pressed his face against Miranda's, forcing the back of her skull against the door, while he deepened the kiss with his tongue and lips alone. Miranda could barely catch her breath, and yet she kissed him back with the same vigor.Asher removed his lips from Miranda's mouth, and kissed on the skin of her neck, as he reached his arms down and hoisted her frame against his. Wrapping her legs around Asher's waist, Miranda connected their bodies together, and the feeling of Asher's arousal rubbed against the axis
Narrator-Alpha Asher woke the next morning to the scent of Miranda's skin filling his skull once again. However this time, she wasn't weighing him down. In fact, he was the one covering her.Asher froze when he realized that he was spooning Miranda's body. His hand was loosely thrown over her hip, while his pelvis outlined her backside. The beat of Miranda's heart thumped softly against Asher's lips, which were pressed in a feather-like manner on the back border of Miranda's neck.Blinking, Asher gulped, and carefully moved his hand off Miranda's hip. He slowly rolled onto his spine, only to feel a tug at his right shoulder joint. Turning his neck, Asher noticed that his right arm served as a muscly pillow for the human girl's head. Groaning, Asher closed his eyes and squeezed the bridge of his nose with his left fingers."Miranda." Asher called out, his voice gruff and deep. The human girl breathed in a sleeping pattern and did not wake."Miranda." Asher called again, and she hummed
