Lucy's POV
It started so innocently—just me in the kitchen, chopping vegetables, the soft hum of music in the background. I didn’t hear them at first, the three of them entering the room as silent as shadows. Shaun’s voice was the first thing I noticed, low and teasing behind me.
"Need any help?"
I turned, startled to find all three of them—Shaun, Scott, and Seth—standing there. Their smirks made me skeptical for a moment.
"No, I'm fine," I said quickly, trying to keep my voice steady. The knife had since left my hand and now I was standing there, not sure of what to do or where to keep my eyes.
But they didn’t leave. Instead, they surrounded me, their presence making it difficult for me to think of anything else—But them.
Shaun brushed a stray lock of hair from my face. Scott leaned against the counter, too close, his arm grazing mine. Seth stood behind me, his warmth a constant reminder of how trapped I was.
"You're always working so hard," Seth murmured, his lips near my ear.
I swallowed, my hand resting more firmly on the counter.
"I like cooking," I replied, trying to ignore the growing heat in the room.
"Why not take a break?" Scott asked, his hand sliding over mine, forcing me to take a deep breath.
Now what?
Before I could protest, Shaun tilted my chin up, his eyes locking onto mine.
"You need to relax," he said softly. And then his lips were on mine, warm and insistent.
I gasped, and in that moment, Seth's hands found my waist, turning me toward him. His mouth captured mine in a kiss that left me breathless. Scott's fingers trailed up my arm, his touch light, teasing.
Somehow, I ended up in their arms, my back pressed against Scott’s chest as Shaun and Seth explored every inch of me with their hands and mouths. I wanted to resist, but my body betrayed me, melting under their touch.
In a heartbeat, they carried me into the bedroom, my mind went blank for a while and I could only think of the faint throbbing of my lower body. They laid me down on the soft sheets. My heart pounded as they surrounded me again, their hands roaming over my skin. Shaun leaned down, his lips brushing against mine.
"Do you want us to stop?" he asked, his voice low, almost challenging.
I hesitated, torn between what I knew was right and the undeniable control they had over my body. "This... this isn’t..."
Seth cut me off, his fingers trailing down my arm, sending small waves of delight through me.
"Don’t think," he whispered, his lips tracing a path along my collarbone.
Scott was at my side, his hand slipping under my shirt, his fingers skimming over my ribs.
"Just feel," he murmured, his mouth claiming mine in a kiss that left me breathless.
Despite my protests, my body craved more. They knew it too. Shaun’s fingers danced over my skin, finding the sensitive spots that made me arch against him. Seth’s lips trailed lower, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. Scott, ever the one with the teasing hands, hovered just out of reach, his eyes dark with intent.
"You won’t reject us, will you?" Shaun asked, his voice thick with desire.
"I can’t," I breathed, my hands clutching at the sheets as my body jutted upward, receiving what they were giving without second thoughts.
I could feel literal flames in my body.
When did I ever feel this way? Never.
"You can," Scott insisted, his fingers brushing against my lips.
"I won’t," I whispered, but it wasn’t the answer they wanted.
"Say it," Seth demanded, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin of my neck.
"I can’t!" I said again, shaking my head, even as my body betrayed me, leaning into their touch.
Their response was relentless. Shaun's fingers explored my most sensitive spots. In a heartbeat, my skirt had been discarded and my legs were parted, wide enough to accommodate Shaun. His finger slipped into me, drawing gasps and moans from me despite myself. Seth's mouth found my breasts, his lips and tongue working together to drive me to the brink of madness. Scott's kisses were a constant assault, stealing my breath and leaving me dizzy.
I tried to resist, but they knew exactly how to break me down, piece by piece. My resolve crumbled with every touch, every kiss, every whispered word. There wasn't much I could do. There wasn't much I could think of, not with a mouth closed over my nipple and another rubbing on my other nipple. And definitely not with a finger inside me, slowly pumping in and out, driving me crazy.
Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore.
"I... I won’t reject you," I gasped, my voice trembling.
They stopped, their eyes locking onto mine, their expressions a mix of triumph and something deeper—something that scared me as much as it thrilled me.
Shaun leaned down, his lips brushing against mine in a soft, almost tender kiss.
"Good," he murmured.
In another minute, his lips were on mine again. My hands reached out to hold him, my hands running along the length of his back. He'd taken off his shirt now and so had the other two. When he got off me, Seth took over, claiming my lips and leaving me breathless.
Fuck. This is it. This is lovemaking.
But then, as Scott slipped his finger out of me, the reality of the situation hit me like a tidal wave. I pushed them away, my breath coming in short, ragged gasps.
"Wait," I said, my voice shaking.
"I can’t... I shouldn’t... I’m your dad’s wife. Is this right?"
The room fell silent, their eyes narrowing slightly, but none of them moved away. The tension was suffocating, their presence overwhelming. Shaun still had the lusty look in his eyes that I didn't hate. Scott was licking his lips and Seth simply looked at me with a mighty frown on his face.
I didn’t know what scared me more—what we had done, or the fact that I didn’t even regret it.
Lucy's POV I sat on the balcony of the Royal Pack House, the cool evening breeze brushing against my skin as I gazed at the view stretching out before me. It was a moment of peace in a life filled with turmoil and chaos, and I clung to it as tightly as I could. The balcony had become my sanctuary during the past two years since I had been brought here—no, forced here—as Daven’s mate.Daven, the Alpha of the Moongrowl Pack, had destroyed everything I held dear. My pack, the Bloodbath Pack, was wiped out in a brutal attack. He killed my family, my people, and then claimed me, a nineteen-year-old girl, as his prize. Now, at twenty-one, I was still trapped in this gilded cage, shackled by his authority and cruelty. Daven was in his forties, and the power he wielded over me only seemed to grow stronger with time.I sighed, letting my eyes stay on the view ahead. How ironic that something so beautiful—a setting sun, golden light pouring across the fields—could exist in a world so full of
Lucy's POV I swallowed hard, willing myself not to tremble. The air in the room was suffocating, filled with his domineering presence and the scent of his cologne—a mixture that turned my stomach. I was no stranger to his cruelty, neither was the way he treated me new. He loved to degrade me.But tonight, a deep-rooted anger simmered beneath my usual numbness. I remained seated on the bed, calm but defiant, refusing to comply with his evil command. He continued with his work, expecting that I'd have obeyed when he turned back. He finally finished with the files in his drawer and turned to me fully this time, his brows furrowing as he noticed my stillness. His cold eyes looked threatening. “Did you not hear me? How many times do I have to repeat a single command?”he barked, the edge of annoyance already creeping into his voice.I flinched at his tone, but I refused to speak. My silence was my rebellion, small as it was, and I enjoyed the way it fueled his anger. He strode over, to
Lucy's POV Finally, the monster who destroyed my family, enslaved my people, and forced me into a loveless marriage might soon face the consequences and I wouldn't have a hand in it. For the first time in years, I felt something unfamiliar— joy.I hurried to my room, my heart pounding with excitement. Locking the door behind me, I let myself dream of a world without Daven. If he died without an heir, I, as his Luna, would naturally inherit his position. That is unless one of his right hand men got greedy enough to want to rule the pack, like his Beta, tried to usurp me. But I wouldn’t let that happen. I had been through too much to let my rightful claim be stolen.“One step at a time and I'll reclaim this pack. I'll sit where I should sir and my people will be set free.”I pulled out a sheet of paper and a pen, my hands trembling with anticipation. I started writing down the first draft of my plan. The main thing to do was rallying my people—the remnants of the Bloodbath Pack who now
Lucy's POV Back at the packhouse, I couldn’t stop thinking about the man I had met at the mine. His image lingered in my mind: his piercing blue eyes, his strong frame, and the way his voice had wrapped around me like silk. Something about him felt different, magnetic even. I wondered if our paths would cross again. My thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock at the door. One of the maids entered, carrying the outfit I was expected to wear to entertain the guests.“Luna Lucy, it’s almost time to welcome the guests,” she said, setting the clothes down on my bed.“So I'll be wearing this to welcome these guests?” I asked, looking at the clothes.“Yes, Luna,” was all she said before heading out. After she left, I took a long bath before going to the bathtub, hoping the warm water would calm the strange mix of nervousness and excitement inside me. Once I was ready, I slipped into the elegant dress—a simple yet commanding outfit that exuded power.Sure that I had my nerves in order, I
Lucy’s POVChaos fell upon the hall like a cloud of dense fog, blinding those present. I rushed to my feet, nearly stumbling over my feet in the wild scramble to get away from the scene. Blood pounded in my ears, drowning out the sounds of people talking. One of Daven’s sons barked an order to the other two before rushing off in the direction of the shattered window where the deadly arrow had come in through. Daven's body laid motionless on his chair. The chair that he always sat in when addressing the pack members—the chair that singled him out as the Alpha of Moongrowl. If only he could have known that his fate would have been cut short when he also sat in it.His lifeless eyes burned into my brain, and I could just tell that this very scene would give me nightmares for weeks.Someone roughly dragged me by the elbow, pulling me towards the exit of the hall. My mind detached from my thoughts and focused on the present. “W-what?”Somehow, I could just tell who he was from his other
Lucy's POV The air cracked like a bomb a split second away from blowing up. Deep within my bones, I could feel a twisting that only happened whenever my wolf was kicked into the forefront of my mind—something I usually tried to avoid. I gripped the sides of my chair to keep steady, and also to stop myself from lurching forward at Ahmad with the cry of frustration I had been keeping in for ages.“Are you fucking kidding me, man?” A bewildered Shaun jumped to his feet. Eyes flashing with anger. “We come all the way here just for the old fart to dump all this responsibility on us? What was he thinking in these last few days of his messed up life?”Seth placed a hand on his brother's shoulder. “Shaun, it's dad you're talking about here. He didn't do much for us but, this pack doesn't deserve to fall apart just because he's gone.”But Shaun wasn't having any of that. He shook his brother's hand off his body. “Fuck all of them! What did they care when Mom died? They did nothing! And now no
Lucy’s POVThe letter made me uneasy, because it could seriously implicate me if anyone else came across it. I couldn't have people thinking that I had a hand in the death of Daven, even though I didn't care much about the man. Especially now that his sons were around, I had to be more careful than ever.I ripped up the paper into tiny bits that I was sure wouldn't be readable, and disposed of them into a little nylon bag before disposing of it. Doing something like this made me feel like I was some sort of criminal, but I couldn't let my guard down at that moment. The letter bothered me for the whole day, and was the last thing I thought about before going to bed.The next morning brought only more situations to anger me, because while on my way to get some breakfast, I saw that the triplets were already seated in the dining room—which was filled with about half a dozen women who were giggling and flipping around like idiots.“What's going on here?” I questioned, unable to believe w
Lucy's POVEverything went as smoothly as it could when you were trying to avoid running into the sons of your enemy. If I could help it, the chances of crossing their paths were as low as fifteen percent on certain days.Just when I had started falling into a routine, Ahmad called for a meeting again. The second one we were having in less than two weeks. Reluctantly, I accepted the invitation, because he didn't look like the type of person to bother someone just for the sake of it. I might not have liked the man, but I could at least appreciate his work ethic. We were using Daven's office as our meeting place now, since obviously we couldn't be using the same hall where he had met his end as it no longer held up to the definition of security. Those in charge of protecting the pack—the guards—were still searching for the person behind that attack, but so far, their hands had only come up with sand and air. I took my seat in the hall, folding my legs as demurely as possible. The flowi
Shaun’s POV Returning to Lucy's room, the first thing that stood out to me was how thick the tension in the air was. It was thick enough to choke on. The scent of her lingered in the air still, as though it was mocking us of the time we were wasting by not immediately going after her. But no matter what we did, it wasn’t enough to ease the frustration growing in my chest. My brothers, Seth and Scott, were already going through her things, their movements sharp and frantic. Anyone looking at us from the outside would think that something was burning and we were trying to pack all our things and escape. They wouldn't be able to see what was happening on the inside of each of us: the fear that something was going to happen to a woman who was connected to us in more ways that we could have ever imagined. Tessa also moved around the room, under the bed, and other places where she felt that she could find something belonging to Lucy that we could use to track her down.Something caugh
Shaun’s POVOn getting back to the villa, I came across Seth and Scott, who immediately pulled me into a serious conversation.I assessed the look on their faces. Something wasn't right. “What's going on?”“We should be considered the biggest fools in this world,” said Seth, slapping his forehead before shaking it disdainfully.“Can you stop speaking in parables and just tell me what happened? I don't have patience for this.” I hated things that wasted my time. Seth looked up, and I had never seen him look so forlorn since the day we lost our mother. Briefly I was transported to that moment when our mother bravely attacked the assailant that had broken into our home brandishing a knife fashioned with Wolfsbane. She had told us that she loved us all and wouldn't let anything happen to us, and she kept her promise. I still had nightmares about the tears that she started shedding when the assailant’s blade got buried deep in her abdomen, and then her neck. The slow way the life seeped
Lucy’s POVI returned to my room with little effort, taking off my shoes even before crossing the doorway fully. So much rage bubbled deep in my chest that it took a lot of effort to breathe normally and without obstruction. Damn them. Damn them all to hell. Bastards. My list of mental curses went far and wide to limits that even surprised me.I took off my earrings and bracelets, and every other piece of jewellery that had been attached to my body. Everything seemed to overstimulate me, and made matters worse.I walked across the room, trying to take off my gown when I noticed that I hadn't heard or seen Tessa.“Tessa?” I called out, in case she was simply in the bathroom. No one answered. “Tessa?” I called again. No answer.Apprehension started to grow within me like a wild plant. “Tessa, are you there?” I searched the bathroom, but no one was there. No one was in the room with me.Where could she have gone? She wasn't the type to wander off. She loved to sit on the bed going throu
Lucy's POVOf course, I couldn't avoid those men for long. Their insistence knew no bounds. At every chance they got, they tried to speak to me about our newfound connection—which I still denied. Ahmad clearly knew nothing about this, so when he called for another meeting, I nearly cursed his entire existence. I wanted to fake that I was sick or something, but being cowardly left a bad taste in my mouthBefore leaving, I made sure to quickly make something for Tessa when she woke up. She was a deep sleeper, and we had been up for most of the night trading night-time stories. So she likely wasn't going to be up until the sun was higher up in the sky.As for me, I ensured to double-check the dress that had been bought for me by my personal attendant, making sure that there was no kind of slit present on it before I put it on. This dress was frilly and reminded me of my time as a little girl—innocent and naïve. Not unlike now that I had been . . . soiled and dirtied by the hands of Dave
Lucy's POV“How is that even possible?” I said to myself after managing to free myself from their grasp. My breaths came out in rushed bursts, but I didn't feel tired at all. I felt invigorated and full of buzzing energy.Scott had called me their mate, but never in my life had I heard of one person having three mates at the same time.“I suspected it too from the scent you had. It was different . . . maddening,” said Seth, running his hand though his hair and unintentionally flexing the muscles of his arm and shoulders. I looked at all three of the fully. They were identical, but each with their own significant quirks that made them completely different. Seth with his long hair and calm, friendly demeanour. Scott with hair chopped so low that the angles of his face were much sharper and severe. Shaun with his hair that had been shaved by the sides, leaving only the portion at the middle growing. They all possessed green eyes, and the same leanly muscled body type, but nothing about
Lucy's POVI never cared much for birthdays. Maybe it was because being a werewolf made you only see them as milestones that one had to cross before attaining some level or maturity, or because celebrating them didn't always bode well if you turned 18 and hadn't been able to find your true mate by then. Like me.However, despite my best efforts to not look forward to this one, my body couldn't entirely settle once the clock struck 12 and showed me a new day.I had been deemed fit to leave the care of the pack doctor a few days back, and I couldn't have been happier about that development. My shoulder had been permanently scarred from the tissue damage caused by the wolfsbane which my werewolf blood couldn't heal up. The doctor mentioned that it was likely that it would take a long while for my body to completely expunge the poison, because of how deep the wound has been. But it didn't really bother me much because I could at least still ise the arm. It would have been a waste to los
Lucy's POVMy feet moved of their own accord once I saw that he wasn't going to be able to evade the arrow on time. And I didn't know what the assailant was using that made them difficult to detect, but like last time, no one took notice of them until it was too late.I shoved Shaun forward, pushing him out of the way, but this put me where he had been standing, and before I could swiftly dodge, the arrow found its mark in the flesh of my shoulder. Wild, hot pain zipped through my brain, consuming my every thought. My legs wobbled underneath me, before crumbling like ruined ash and bringing me to my knees. A loud sound kept pouring into my ears over and over again. It was my screaming. The last thing that crossed my mind before the darkness was the thought of how a normal arrow shouldn't have hurt so much. —“ . . . Losing blood.”“ . . . Arrow was poisoned.”“Wolfsbane?”“They got away again, damn it!”Voices flowed in and around me, and like hands, pulled me back to the surface.
Lucy's POVThe woman's eyes narrowed. “And why in the bloody hell would I do that?”Shaun stepped forward, arm brushing my shoulder. “Because we're in charge here, and you have to obey what I say.”The woman's mouth twisted into an ugly frown, but something in her eyes held . . . fear. “You can't take what belongs to me.”“That child doesn't belong to you. You only have her because my father was too much of a power-hungry ruler that he didn't see the need to protect little children like her. Now, hand her over, unless you'd like to give up an arm instead.” A dark aura spilled out from him at his last sentence. It screamed danger . . . and I knew that he had just tapped into one of the inner powers that he possessed as an apex werewolf: the ability to bend lesser wolves to his will. The woman tried to pretend like it wasn't getting to her at first, but eventually she whimpered, shoved the girl forward and scurried away. The only way to get rid of a predator was to bring an even bigger
Lucy's POV As if having to watch my people get treated like shit wasn't enough, Ahmad put me in charge of the interrogations. Now, I had a front-row seat to how it would proceed, and the thought of it already made me a little sick. The interrogations were scheduled to hold indoors in one of the rooms within the pack house barely used to limit leakage of information, and to ensure that if anyone happneot slip up, they would be taken care of swiftly without causing harm to other people.Apprehension boiled within me. I really wanted to hope that the attacker wasn't anyone from our pack, but what if it was? It would give members of Monngrowl pack have another reason to treat us poorly. I had been shielded by the little authority I had when Daven was still alive, but with him gone, no one saw the need to keep up with some of his rules, especially respect—and his sons weren't making things any easier. That morning, I put on my thickest skin. The enslaved Bloodbath members weren't going to
