Mara's POV

A collective gasp echoed through the room myself included, I stared at him stunned.

"Your wife?" The elder said cocking a brow, Ethan laced his hand with mine and I forced a smile wanting to follow his lead, I knew I could trust him.

"Yes we had a quick marriage due to a circumstance" Ethan continued trying to convince them.

"And what circumstance might that be?"

"It's a personal matter" Ethan disclosed in a finite tone.

"After the present circumstance the pack faced we can't take chances what if she was an accomplice to the rogue attack how do you expect us to remain quiet and accept her with no logical explanation" the man urged and a few members supported him.

A full crowd had formed all of them focused in our direction.

"I'm pregnant" I blurted, Ethan eyes widened as he looked in my direction.

"Yes I'm pregnant that is why we had to get married it was urgent"

The elderly man looked at Ethan and me. “Congratulations,” he said, though his tone lacked warmth. “Bu
