Rhys' POV

“It could be a coincidence though” Elera added but I nodded my head in negative, I wasn't going to rule out any leads or clues to finding Mara.

“Dig deeper I will do the same from my end” Elera nodded.

“I'll do my best Alpha” she assured them I nodded then left the room heading back.

As I approached the training area, I spotted Sam resting off to the side, his expression relaxed. But when he saw me, his body tensed, and he quickly tried to join the others. I wasn’t about to let him slip away that easily.

“At ease soldier” I ordered he stood still then gave a salute, I strode over and grabbed his arm gently but firmly.

“Sam, you won't believe the amount of times you have been through my mind” I whispered, his eyes widened a fraction, shocked by my revelation.

“I wonder why Alpha” he questioned despite trying to be respectful he couldn’t erase the arrogance in his tone.

“I need to talk to you,” I said, trying to keep my voice steady. “Do you know where Mara is?”
