Amanda.
‘You are pregnant, Amanda.’
No matter how many times I tried to release my mind from those words after hearing them about three days ago, I just couldn’t.
Zane had gotten me pregnant, and then went ahead to mate with my twin sister.
Who would I tell my plight to?
*Tell him.* My wolf, Sapphire, whispered to me.
*And then what?* I asked her.
*He’ll definitely take us back. He knows that he is the only person you have ever been with. He will know that the pup belongs to him.* Sapphire said.
Her words encouraged me. And despite my reluctance of doing anything else but trying to get him to accept me as a second option because I am pregnant, I desperately wanted to try now.
*Alright.* I told my wolf and smiled when she squeaked in my head. I felt her pant from that little task and felt sorry for making her bear the weight of carrying an Aloha blooded child.
*We’ll be fine.* She said to me, making me realize that she could always hear my thoughts since we were one.
For the rest of afternoon went better for me. Marie, who was always hovering around me like a mother hen after hearing what the doctor told me, rushed to my side and took the big pot I was carrying, giving me a few plates to carry instead. I smiled my gratitude at her, wondering what I would have done without her help.
We went about our tasks that way and soon, night crowded the place. While the other argued and fought for bathing and sleeping space, I sat outside under the half moonlight and thought about what to do next.
“What’s bothering you?” I heard behind me. Before I could turn, Marie was beside me.
I shook my head, dismissing her question. There was no way I would tell her that the man I was pregnant for was Alpha Zane and that I was looking for a way to get him away from the Luna, who happened to be my sister, and letting him know that I was pregnant for him.
“I think you should let Alpha Zane know about the baby. That way, he can decide what he wants to do and that might make him realize the errors of his ways,” Marie said.
I looked at her with shock and she chuckled.
“Well, everyone knows how lovey-dovey you and Alpha Zane was before this turn of events.” She said with a shrug.
I blushed, not knowing what to say to that.
“And if you are worried about the Luna who is always around him, I’ll be glad to let you know that she went for a visit to your parents’ house, and that should give you enough time to see the Alpha and let him know what is going on.”
Relief flooded me from hearing that. I quickly got up from my seat.
“Thank you so much, Marie,” I said, squeezing her hand.
I rushed into the bathroom just as the person inside came out. The others yelled about staying in line but I ignored. I wanted to look good before my encounter with Zane. Once I was out, Marie helped dressed me up in one of the few nice and clean clothes I had. By the time we were done, I felt beautiful in my own skin.
“Now, go and show him what he is missing in his life,” Marie said with an encouraging smile.
I nodded. Before leaving, I gave her a hug and whispered a ‘thank you’ into her ears.
Now alone and on my way to the Alpha’s house, my heart beat erratically in my chest. Lott of thoughts and questions filled my mind. A lot of ‘what ifs’.
What if it all works out well?
What if he denied the pregnancy?
What if he called the whole pack on me and humiliate me?
What if mg sister came in then and beat me up until I lost the baby I was carrying?
What if this, what if that.
Still, I forged ahead, determined to take the bold step. At least that way, I would never end up with regrets of what could have been if I had only summoned courage to talk to the man.
I soon got to his place. Luckily for me, as Marie had said, Tiana was nowhere to be found. Just as there was no guard to be found. That revelation brought back the memory of what I found out about my ex and my sister a few weeks ago, but I brush the memory and hurt off.
Now was not the time for that.
I pushed the door opened and got in. Alpha Zane was sitting on the couch, bent over the table and looking over some files.
“Wi… Alpha?” I called to get his attention.
He looked up to see who had called him. His blue eyes darkened the moment his gaze fell over my face.
“How dare you?!” He hissed at me.
Not the kind of energy I expected, but I still wasn’t willing to back down from the task at hand.
I immediately went on my knees for him. “Please listen to me. Just… five minutes,” I pleaded, already closed to tears.
“Unless you want to—“ He started. I knew it was going to be a threat, so just cut him off.
“—I am pregnant!” I yelled at the top of my voice. The tears began to fall freely. “Please,” I added after I didn’t hear a response for like twenty seconds. I risked a look up at him and saw his gaze so dark, I was sure he was ready to kill someone.
Fear gripped me at that moment. Even though I wanted to trust him from the times we’ve spent together, something told me I was going to regret telling him about the baby.
“How dare you be pregnant?!” He stormed at me.
I looked up to pleading with him, but what I saw next made me moved back with reflex.
Alpha Zane’s claws were out and they were aimed at my throat. If I hadn’t moved when I did, I would be a dead person already.
“Die!” He yelled, rushing toward me.
I got up and did the next best thing I knew.
I ran!
I ran straight out of his house and the pack.
That, was the only way I knew my baby and I would survive.
Five years later. Amanda. “Jude! Juliet!” I shouted their names for what felt like the hundredth time that morning. If I hadn’t, they were going to be late for school and I was going to be late for my meeting with the Elders of the pack. “Mommy, it’s Juliet that is making me tie her ribbon for her hair!” Jude yelled back to me. After I ran five years ago after Zane had threatened my life, I had ran and ran until I got exhausted and fainted. By the time I came to again, I found myself in a small pack. It turned out that I had been rescued by an old man who happened to be the Alpha of the pack. The Night Walker Pack. “Alpha Sapphire, it is almost time for the meeting.” My Beta, Bets Alex, said as he walked in. That was right! I was now the Alpha of the pack. It turned out that the Alpha who had rescued me then, Alpha Jackson, didn’t have any biological child of his own. After his mate died barely two years into their marriage, along with the pregnancy she was carrying then, the
Zane. “So? What was her response?” I barked at the guard I had sent to deliver the letter to the Alpha of Night Walker Pack. “I… I didn’t see her personally.” He stammered out. He risked a look at me and relaxed a bit when he couldn’t read my emotion to be that of anger. However, I was still processing his words. The moment I did, my face contoured with anger which I couldn’t hold no matter how hard I tried. “You didn’t what?” I bellowed at the man. Before he could respond, I hitched toward him and gave him a slap across the face. He staggered backward, a wince on his face before he bowed and fell on his knees. “I told you to make sure you deliver the letter to her personally!” I yelled. My patience was already worn out with everything I had to deal with and this stupid guard had only successfully added to it. “Her people refused to let me see her. The only way to make sure she got the letter was to deliver it to her people.” I hissed and slowly advanced to the man. I watched as
Amanda“That’s right, Zane, I see the look of fear in your eyes. I see the look of surprise, and doubt in your eyes. Yes, it is me, Amand.” I laughed.I was in the company of my entourage and seeing them, all standing behind me left Zane speechless. For several minutes, he could hardly utter any word which was exactly what I was gunning for. This, the element of surprise that had worked so well in my favor. I wished I could picture this moment for a long time but I knew I needed to get on with the next stage of this as to the reason why he wanted me here.“I can’t believe this,” he muttered.“Well, you better believe it.” I snapped. My entourage brought out the makeshift chair they carry all about as they propped it up, leading me toward it to sit down. All this was done in front of Zane, and I could see how shocked he was with every minute that passed.“It can’t be,” he muttered.“What can’t be?” I asked, taking my seat on the chair. He staggered back, as recognition finally dawned i
ZaneFuck! Amanda was an Alpha! Amanda was a freaking Alpha! That was not something I expected and seeing her looking so beautiful and serene had me wondering where exactly I had missed it. I wouldn’t say it was from the time she was staying with me, far from it or from the time I had treated her badly but truth be told, I had seen something very special in Amanda right from the first time I told her that I wanted to be with her.“What happened out there?” Tiana asked, waddling in like the shapeless frog she was.I had a mind to just walk out on her but I know that would be plain rude even though I knew she didn’t deserve my niceness when in fact she had been a demon ever since I got married to her. In fact, she hadn’t allowed me to have a semblance of rest, disturbing and giving me sleepless nights. Now, seeing her here, standing like a shapeless sack of grains, told me that I had made a terrible mistake in mating her.“Nothing,” I said.I decided at the last minute not to tell her w
Amanda I got back to the temporary lodge my entourage had already prepared for the duration of our stay here and I had to confess, they really did a number toward ensuring that I had a pleasant stay in this godforsaken place. Now, it was time for business and I wasn't going to slack when it came to this. If there was one thing I knew, it was that this was the time for me to show Zane and his pack that I wasn't a push over and I would never be.“Everyone, take some rest. We will converge at the central hall in an hour so that we can discuss our agenda for the day.” I ordered. There were collective nods of head and greetings even as they all retired for the night. Seeing my pack members all united by this had me smiling so much that all I could feel in my heart at that moment was the love I had for each of them. They had stuck with me for a long time, weathering the storm with me without complaining and now, they were here with me even though this wasn’t really their business.“Alpha,
Amanda“With all due respect, Alpha, it's a capital No!” Alex barked the last word out.I could see the anger in his words, the anger in his eyes when he spoke. Personally, he knew everything that had happened to me when I was still with Zane and it was his anger that reflected in every of his words he spoke. I for one knew that he would never allow this to happen because he knew how evil Zane could be and if this fell on his hands, he could bring total destruction to the kingdom.Several murmurs of agreement rang out while others remained silent. With Alex being one of the most vocal members of the pack, it wasn’t a surprise that he easily garnered support from those present.“Going by the pack’s history and the Alpha in charge, it's safe to say that they aren’t deserving of the Crystal heart. Alpha Zane has been known to be a heartless, cruel and callous man who doesn’t care about his people. I am not in support of this, Alpha.” He finished.I nodded, silently thanking him for his c
Zane.Anger, fear, and shock radiated through me as I walked around mindlessly. I didn’t even know what to think of as I stared at some of the maids doing their jobs. There were times when I had wished that I would be the greatest Alpha to ever live but apparently, that wasn’t going to be possible because my enemies were at work and if there was one thing I knew, it was that they would never see me rise to become that. They had chosen this specific day and time to strike, knowing that my forces were at the weakest at this point. It wasn’t fair but when it came to the way we lived, life wasn’t fair at all. You either win some or you lose some and if there is one thing I wouldn't be doing, it was losing. I was going to make sure I got them, every single last one of them that even thought they could destroy everything I had worked so hard to build. Never, I was never going to allow that.“Alpha.” A voice interrupted my thoughts.I turned toward the direction of the voice to see that it w
AmandaAn hour earlier. As I paced back and forth within the pack house, my mind racing with ideas on how to deal with the ever-challenging Alpha Zane, I turned to my Beta, Alex. With a sigh, I turned to him, frustration evident in my voice. "We need to do something about Zane. I hate that he has this demand above us and I'm worried about the pack."Alex leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "I've been thinking about that too, Amanda. Maybe it's time we put our heads together and come up with a plan."I nodded eagerly, grateful for his support. "What do you suggest? We can't just confront him directly. That never ends well."A mischievous glint appeared in Alex's eyes, and he flashed me a sly grin. "What if we test him, just like you said but with a different method? See if he's truly changed his ways?"I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by his suggestion. "Go on.""Well," Alex began, tapping his fingers on the desk as he organized his thoughts. "What if we
AmandaThe moon hung low in the sky, casting an eerie glow over the battlefield. I stood at the edge of the clearing, my heart pounding in my chest. The air was thick with tension, and every nerve in my body screamed at me to run, to hide, to escape but I couldn't. This was it. The final showdown between me and Zane. There was no turning back now. I had to face him, to confront the man who had taken everything from me. I had to beat him once and for all.I clenched my fists, feeling the rough bark of the tree behind me digging into my back. I had to steady myself, to focus. The memory of Zane's betrayal burned in my mind, fueling my resolve. He had taken my family, my friends, and my home. He had left me with nothing but a burning desire for revenge. And now, it was time to make him pay."I know you're out there, Amanda," Zane's voice cut through the silence like a knife. I tensed, my eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of movement. "There's no point in hiding. Come out and face m
ZaneAs I faced Amanda, I couldn’t help but marvel at the fierce determination that burned in her eyes. She moved with an intensity that caught me off guard, each strike delivered with a force that spoke volumes about her resolve. I had underestimated her, and now, as I struggled to keep up with her relentless attacks, I realized just how formidable she truly was."Is this all you’ve got, Zane?" Amanda taunted, her voice a mix of anger and sorrow. "Did you really think you could get away with killing Tiana?"I blocked her punch, feeling the impact reverberate through my arm. "It wasn’t personal, Amanda. You know how this world works."Her eyes narrowed, and she swung her leg in a swift arc, aiming for my head. I barely ducked in time, the air whistling as her kick missed its mark by inches. "Not personal? She was my sister, you bastard! You took her from me!"I couldn’t deny the truth of her words. Tiana had been Amanda’s estranged sister, and my actions had set off a chain of events
AmandaThe air was thick with anticipation, the kind that made your skin prickle and your senses heighten to an almost unbearable degree. I could feel it deep within me, an unshakeable certainty that Zane, with all his malice and wickedness, was heading towards our pack. This wasn't just a gut feeling; it was as if every fiber of my being was screaming out in warning. The battle we had both started long ago was far from over, and I knew that he was coming to finish it. My breath hitched as I considered the implications. Zane was not just a formidable opponent; he was ruthless and relentless, qualities that made him even more dangerous."Get ready!" I barked, my voice carrying the urgency of the situation. The warriors of my pack, loyal and unwavering, moved with swift precision. They knew what was at stake. "We cannot let him win. Not this time." My heart pounded as I watched them prepare, each one a crucial part of the defense that stood between Zane and our survival.Beatrice, my
Amanda As I lay on the cold, hard ground, my vision blurred and the sounds around me dulled, I fought to stay conscious. Each breath was a struggle, each inhale and exhale a battle against the pain that radiated from my stomach. It felt like I had been stabbed, a searing, sharp agony that consumed my entire being. My hand instinctively pressed against the wound, but I couldn't feel any blood, just an overwhelming emptiness. A hollow sensation that told me something, or someone, had been taken away from me."Beatrice," I gasped, my voice barely a whisper. The pain was so intense that it was hard to form words, but I knew I had to communicate what I was feeling. Beatrice was crouched beside me, her face a mask of concern and determination. Her hands moved swiftly, checking my injuries, trying to stabilize me."Amanda, hold on," Beatrice urged, her voice steady but laced with urgency. "You're going to be okay. Just stay with me.""No," I managed to croak out, shaking my head slightly.
TianaI stood on the balcony, my fingers clutching the cold stone railing. The moon cast a pale glow over the kingdom, a kingdom that was going into chaos because of my husband's actions. Zane, the man I had once loved, the man I had pledged my life to, was now a tyrant, causing havoc and destruction wherever he went. I had watched in horror as his ambitions grew darker and more twisted, and now I knew I had to stop him before it was too late.“This wasn’t what I bargained for? Why did he suddenly turn this way? I muttered.I turned away from the balcony and paced back into the chamber, my mind racing. I couldn't believe how far Zane had fallen. When we married, he was charming and full of dreams even though it was one to make my sister suffer but those dreams had turned into nightmares for our people. He had declared war on Amanda and her pack, accusing them of treachery without a shred of evidence. I knew Amanda and I was certain she was innocent. Zane's vendetta against her was pe
ZaneThe power coursing through me was intoxicating, a heady rush that made every nerve tingle with a sense of invincibility. I stood at the edge of the cliff, looking down at the world that now seemed so small, so manageable. It was hard to believe that not long ago, I was just another face in the crowd, another insignificant speck in the grand tapestry of existence. But now? Now I was a god, or at least something very close to it."Zane, you have to be careful," I murmured to myself, the wind carrying my voice away. I knew I was right. This power, this incredible, unearthly strength, it was a gift but it was also a curse if I didn't handle it correctly. No one could know the source of my abilities. If they did, they could find a way to strip them from me, to use them against me and I couldn't allow that. Not now, not ever."Zane," a voice called from behind, and I turned to see Riley approaching, her expression a mix of concern and curiosity. She was one of the few who had seen the
BeatriceAs soon as Zane broke free from the binds we had put him in, I knew we were in for total chaos. I watched from a corner, my heart pounding in my chest, unable to tear my eyes away from the scene unfolding before me. It was surreal, like something out of a nightmare. Zane had turned into something unrecognizable—a monster. His muscles bulged, his eyes glowed with a malevolent light, and an aura of raw power radiated from him. We had underestimated him, and now we were paying the price.Amanda stood bravely before him, her stance strong and determined. I could see the tension in her body, the resolve in her eyes. "Zane, you don't have to do this," she pleaded, her voice steady despite the obvious danger. "We can help you. Whatever you're going through, we can find a way to fix it."But Zane only laughed, a sound that sent chills down my spine. "Help me? You think you can help me?" he sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. "I don't need your help, Amanda. I don't need any
Amanda Seeing Tiana within my pack after what we’ve promised ourselves was something I didn't expect. I mean, i expected to see her after the battle was over but now, seeing her now just told me that she and Zane might have had a plan to help him escape because i didn’t really see any reason why she was here. It just didn’t make sense.“What do you want?” I said, icily. There was tension in the area, that much I could tell. What I hated at that moment was not knowing the plan that she and Zane had. It made me mad because I knew that she didn’t just come here on her own volition, there was definitely something going on and I wanted nothing more than to know what it was. Tiana remained silent like i wasn’t talking to her which made me mad because it just meant that she didn’t regard me at all and she hadn’t put what was between us behind her.“For the last time Tiana, what do you want?” I asked again.I was slowly losing my patience and I knew that I would lose it if she didn’t tell me
ZaneI didn’t know whether to call it luck or being blessed but if there was one thing i knew, it was that things somehow worked in my favor. It had only been a stroke of luck when Amanda was called away and by no other person but my wife. Now, alone in the dank, dark place she had put me in, I knew I needed to do everything possible to free myself or else, when she came back, I would find it much worse. The last thing i wanted to be was to be Amanda’s bait, i was far stronger and bigger than her and i had the advantage but still, i knew i shouldn’t forget that she was an Alpha, far more stronger than any other normal wolf and it would be a hard time fighting her off but i knew that i could do it especially since i was very determined.“That won’t be easy Zane, stop fooling yourself.” I sighed.Amanda had made sure that I was tied so tightly that I had no room for escape. If i didn’t know better, i would have said that she knew i would try to escape hence the reason for treating me th
