Gwen’s POV

I woke up to the soft, warm light of the morning, breaking through the curtains. Slowly, I opened my eyes to the comforting weight of Alpha Blake's arm across my waist.

I lay there for a while, soaking in the peace of the moment. Turning my head slightly, I could see Alpha Blake's face, relaxed in his sleep.

He looked so serene, and a smile crawled onto my lips while I took in the details of his features.

For a few minutes, I did nothing but stare at him, the line of his jaw, the soft resting of his dark eyelashes on his cheeks, the gentle rise and fall of his chest with each breath.

A feeling of tenderness washed over me as I thought about just how lucky I was that he was in my life.

Unbeknownst to me, Alpha Blake had woken sometime earlier and was merely feigning to be asleep.

He could not help but bask in the feeling of being so closely watched and admired. Unable to contain himself anymore, he let out a fit of laughter.
