Chapter 15: PLATFORM SHOW

After the heavy rain, the sun shined and the sky felt warm. The afternoon was passing and the evening was coming. The platform interview was soon to be performed and without Zoe, it will turn into a scandal. 

It was just then, Zoe successfully arrived on time and was sent to the hospital. Doctors quickly brought her for rest inside and her treatment has quickly proceeded. Shen and Laura had to wait in the lounge patiently.

Shen thought about her health while Laura was thinking about her situation for the platform. 

"What happened back then when I was away?" Shen asked suspiciously

Laura was sad and felt guilty to have let her go out in such a rain. It was too heavy and was not aware enough to hold her. 

"Mr. Shen, when I found on the rain she was trying to find a cab. It looked urgent. I helped shelf and she had a fever." Shen Zi did not felt at ease. Many questions flowed in his head as he was trying to find an answer to them. "She was in the rain consistently? What could have made her stay? Was it...for me?" 

 It was being an hour when she was still sleeping. The hospital room where she slept looked calm and her fever diminished. As she got up, she could barely feel her spine and stretched out to find her phone. 

As she was looking around her bag was not present.

She almost freaked out! 

Her husband was the one having her bag and was afraid she will get hold of it. He was well aware of her love for her phone and took it so she gets a good rest. 

"Where are my phone and my bag? Only one person can do that," she grumbled punching her bed

She searched for a clock on the walls and the small cases but didn't find any.

"I can't see the time. I already feel well and I don't know which time is it." 

"Miss Shen! Here is your last medicine. You may need to take it before going to meet your visitors." She looked at the man who came and noticed a wooden tray with a cup of water and pills. The tray was accompanied by a beautiful red rose beside it. The red rose had a sweet fragrance which she loved greatly.

She sighed then took up the tray on her lap.

"Thank you very much! I will need to see the visitors who are anxiously waiting." 

The man nodded and left, closing the door behind. She sat and drank the pills with a handful of water then wiped her mouth away. After she set the tray away and slept on her pillow hands folded. 

Looking at the roof, she was so impatient to just stop laying in this bed and was worried about Shen.

"When will they get me out of here?"

Zhang You was preparing her gown for tonight and was choosing an elegant and cocktail choice. It was since she waited impatiently for the dear Lin Zoe to come and get the payment of her life and threat. 

"It's been a while since she hasn't come? What is taking her so long?" 

She already set her gown on her bed and sat patiently on her white sofa. She waited and saw no trace of the girl. 

Zhang You was furious and drank a cup of wine. She quickly called Zoe's phone in anger and didn't receive any response. She called twice and it was the same. 

She threw her phone to the ground and ground her teeth.

"Bitch! How dare you? I knew I was being fooled." She suddenly got up with an idea and laughed crazily. "Just wait! Tonight is your last time in this town."

"Mr. Shen, here is your wife. She is totally fine and needs to rest a little bit. The fever was not that serious." 

They were all relieved and helped Zoe stay steady till the exit. As they entered the car, Zoe did not forget the rose brought to her. Shen had freed the driver and had to drive the car by himself. She was sitting close to him and noticed like a feeling he had been lately upset.

"Laura, thank you for assisting me. I will bring you back home and let you prepare yourself for tonight." Laura smiled and sat comfortably. "Thank you Zoe but you have to prepare yourself too. I will just take a taxi nearby." 

Shen Zi noticed her and felt a little jealous of the attention she gave to Laura. He glanced to see if she hadn't got her phone but instead noticed a red rose in her hands. 

He smiled and drove the car peacefully. Laura went out of the car and took a cab to get home. Zoe glanced through the car glass and did not utter a word. Shen looked calm and was happy he could get her with him safely. 

"Are you better?" 

"Yes, I feel good but I'm worried about the platform and the person trying to kill me."

Zoe looked sad and at that Shen was thinking about how his men got with the research. The culprit was yet to be found and Zoe was exposed to danger. 

"I just remember that man saying she was still in danger. Even me I thought the same way." he thought as he gazed at her

"If he couldn't kill her now, he will find other opportunities later." 

Zoe noticed Shen and saw how tense he was. She couldn't figure out what it was but knew there was something wrong. "Hey! Shen, what is wrong?" His thoughts dissipated instantly and he quickly focused on her words. 

"Nothing! I am bringing you to a shop you will have to try a gown for the night." she nodded and smiled, "Hmm..."

 ...

It was dark at night and the guests invited for the show were plenty. The seats were all occupied and the previous judges were present to listen from the mysterious model with talents. Journalists were also present and Tsu Lian had a special seat in front. 

Lin Zoe entered in a tight gown with a salmon color and white high heels. She had a pearl necklace with diamond earrings and her hair was dressed in a plated bun. She looked perfect as if she came out from a fairy tale and fitted with the event. 

Shen accompanied her to the entrance and went to his seat. She went in the backstage and waited for Laura and the host to call her.

As she sat on the sofa near the makeup table, she heard the footsteps of someone. "Who's there?" It was Zhang You and she had the same exact color dress as hers. 

"Well, it's our dear Zoe! I wouldn't expect you will come as you can't even keep your words."

She became cautious and looked straightforward at the woman. 

"Zhang You!"

"Boss we found something." a bodyguard of Shen spoke

"What did you found?" He looked reluctant and forced out what he got to say. "The person you are looking for is Zhang You, her cooperator in the show." 

"You mean she will be with her?" He asked straightforwardly

"Unfortunately, Yes!"
